no, they just need to dump the new junk they call cartoons and put on some old stuff that people will watch.

They have Boomerang for that now. I think that's pretty much why they launched Boomerang, so they could move most of the classics there to make room for their original cartoons and pick up the rights to newer ones on Cartoon Network.

i realize that. but just how much flintstones and scooby doo, do you think i want to see in a lifetime.?those shows have been shoved down our throats for decades. you can't escape them.
and don't sit there and say "those are popular shows". well suicide is a popular way to die but you don't see me doing that. there is a difference betweeen being popular and being shoved down everyone's throats.
i turn to boomerang and most times all that i see on is scooby doo. if not that it is what they call the superfriends. calling the superman/aquaman from the sixties, is not the superfriends. they are two diffrent things. and when they do play the actual superfriends, i seem to always see the ones from, i beieve, the third or so season with the legion of doom fighting them all the time. same episodes.
when i don't see that, i see thundarr, the barbarian.
they only show about 30 minutes of looney tunes at times. they could show all those as an entire chanel. if they would. but they won't.

part of my gripe: i understand that both of these channels are/were part of the TBS library that housed the hanna-barbera stuff. well, that didn't include warner brothers. now that they are both under the time warner umbrella, they are forever mixed.
while other stuff is completely ignored. i want to see:
tarzan, lord of the jungle,
batman
web woman
lassie's rescue rangers
return to the planet of the apes
star trek: the animated series
fat albert and the cosby kids
the lone ranger

and that's just the ones i can think of quickly. all those shows were made by filmation. the lou scheimer/norm prescott produced shows. and that is not even mentioning live action shows like:
SHAZAM
ISIS
ark II
the ghostbusters

filmation had a lot of great stuff, and nobody will show it. instead i get more scooby doo, with an occassional top cat and tom and jerry thrown into the mix.

and everyone does not get boomerang. i have a friend that has cable, and his cable company does not carry boomerang. so he is stuck.

I agree. The old shows were funny and entertaining at one point but one would think they get old and tired after awhile.

maybe so after they've been shoved down your thoat for a while.
these channels don't get a "new" show to their lineup and let it air. like TVLand, they add it to the lineup and put on a 48 hour marathon. that's good if you like the show, but if you hate or so-so like it, it's too much. then like the flintstones, having it on for possibly 4 hours a day is ridiculous.
with all the cartoons that have been around for decades, no one show should be on but for so long in one day. i am also talking about the differrnt versions of sccoby-doo as well. no matter what show of scooby-doo it is, is is really the same. just that one show may be an hour long and another have guest stars. it is still scooby-doo.
putting ANYTHING like that on for any length of time would get tiresome. but if they put it on for may :30 a day, maybe an hour, it would take quite a while to get tiresome.
