Default Besides the Cosby Show, were there any other series finales that did not have a final

Camera SHOT of the entire CAST? Cosby show ended with just Claire and Cliff and no one else. Were there any other finales that did the same? I know Mary Tyler Moore had the entire cast at the end.

CHEERS- Sam alone in the bar.
NEWHART- Maybe the most famous closing scene in sitcom history.

NewsRadio - The final scene was Dave walking back into his office, after the rest of the staff (Lisa, Beth, Joe, Jimmy and Max) had left to go to live in New Hampshire. Once Dave sits down at his desk, he sees Matthew under there. Matthew, being the one guy Dave wanted to move to New Hampshire had decided to stay and work for Dave.

Matthew: It's just me and you, forever.

Dave: (Almost in tears) I know.

How about The Waltons? Michael Learned was not in it. Also, in The Brady Bunch, Robert Reed was absent.

I don't think Family Matters did, because when they made the episode, it was supposed to be a season finale and not a series finale.

Also Roseanne ended with Roseanne sitting on the couch.

I don't know why they didn't expect the show to be cancelled. It got poor ratings that whole season and the show was such a poor fit with CBS. Plus there's the whole track record of network switching shows ending after one year on a different network: get smart, diff'rent strokes, step by step, getting by, hogan family, golden girls/palace.

"MASH"-the final shot was of Hawkeye riding away in a helicopter

"The Dick Van Dyke show"-the entire cast was in the final scene, but the final shot was just Rob & Laura

"Barney Miller"-the final shot was just Barney walking out the door for the last time

"The Mary Tyler Moore Show"-even though the entire cast was in the final scene, the final shot was just Mary walking out the door of the newsroom

Natalie was also missing from the Facts Of Life finale

the last scene of Sex And The City was just Carrie talking to Big on her cell phone walking down the street and away from the camera.

Blair bought Eastland, Natalie moved into a loft, and Tootie went to pursue her acting career. But the final shot of the show had Blair, Jo, Tootie and Beverly Ann, but no Natalie

Well... the thing was, after airing 5 episodes in January, the show went on hiatus and the last 7 episodes of the series aired in June and July. Dreadful. People don't watch TV in the summer like they do in the Fall and Winter. The show was finished filming in March though, way before they decided to cancel it.
