Post Why was Nancy kicked off?

Cindy and Sue Ann and Blair were the pretty ones and that was enought so they kicked off Sue Ann and Cindy and they had to decide whether to keep Molly or Tootie and they had bad thoughts about Molly so they let her go. Why did they kick off Nancy and keep Natalie?

Cool

Probably because Tootie was best friends with Natalie and they were closer in age. That way it would be even. That's just my opnion though.

Talking

THEY SHOULD HAVE KEPT LETTING THE CHARACTERS NANCY, SUE ANN and CINDY MAKE GUEST APPEARANCES ON THE SHOW!!!!

i'm glad MOLLY was fired-it allowed her to make THE TEMPEST, SIXTEEN CANDELS and THE BREAKFAST CLUB!!!!

i thought gossip, sex symbol, dear me and front page were some of the best episodes..they made Nancy, Sue Ann and Cindy kind of MEAN/funny........
Oh well
I like brenda too!
AND dina
and bootsie!
I HOPE THE REUNION MOVIE IS COMEDIC AND NOT MELODRAMATIC(how boring)
they should have FELICE, JULIE and Julie make guest appearances!!!
(I DOUBT MOLLY WOULD EVER DO IT)
They should have had more eastland/langley episodes during the 5th, 6th and 7th seasons.
I thought the show got very dull(like when they hired that guy from er and the little Andy character(i heard the prepubescent crowd adored him)--i can see why charlotte rae was tired of playing MRS GARRET
the little chill was cool-except the writers of the episode weren't even FANS of the show!!(WHAT I MEAN IS THAT JO DID KNOW NANCY< SUE ANN AND CINDY WHEN THE SCRIPT MADE IT APPEAR AS IF SHE DIDN"T KNOW WHO THEY ARE>>>
P>S> telling KIM AND MINDY TO GAIN WEIGHT OR STRAP THEIR MAMMARY GLANDS DOWN WAS STUPID
enough said
whew!

Well she had no character. All she talked about was "Roger" and they couldnt even give her name like Blair was snobby and rich, Cindy the athletic girl but Nancy? What would you call her? Thats why I think they got rid of her.

Based on the 13 eps of the first season and the ones she was in later, I came up with some descriptive words, but I'm not allowed to say them on this board :-)

Thumbs up

Nancy was lifeless, she had no point to her character, it's a good thing they got rid of her.The show would never have made it if they didn't.

Wink

Roger himself would of probably been more interesting than Nancy, and that's saying something.

I'm not sure why, but Nancy drove me up the wall! I Hated her. She was always talking about Roger. Who the heck is Roger? We never even saw him!

There was nothing wrong with Nancy, quite the contrary. The actress came into her own in Gossip and should of been used more as a supporting eastland character.(i new plenty of girls like her)

I thought all 3 girls made the eastland campus and the show more vibrant as supproting players who were necessary to give blair some other competition besides jo.

Sad

Did you all know Felice was almost cast as Kimberly Drummond on Diff'rent Strokes? The part was given to Dana Plato, because they wanted some one all American looking. Then she was promised a role on The Facts of Life. She was the 1st hired & the 1st fired.
I think they gave her lots of dead end lines. I think Cindy was kind of like Cindy from the Brady Bunch with the name Cindy & the pigtails. One Cindy with pigtails is good enough in tv land. Sue Ann was kinda mean.Molly was okay. I think the show picked up after they were gone.
