Default "the bride if tupperman"

"yeah, i'm just full of surprises ain't i?"

a man comes to bluemoon wanting dave and maddie to find him a wife. they both find a potential mate for him and they both disagree with the other's choices.
dave figures out he just wanted a woman for a body to cash in a life insurance policy.
the fun part is the wheelchair chase through the hospital.
an alright episode, not one of my favourites.

rating: 5

Now that I've finally got this ep, I can finally comment on it!!

I really enjoyed watching this one, mostly because of the very cute bit where David and Maddie try to arrange to go out on a Friday night and can't agree on anything (now there's a shock!). David's last suggestion is that they take all their clothes off, cover themselves in oil and "see what we feel like doing" His little smirk at that point is wonderful!!

The bit with Dave watching the Bride of Frankenstein is very clever too..

Great fun...

Yep, there's good sexual tension in this one.
Love the part when Stevie enters the office, great moment.

I always felt sad for Nora Heflin's character. She was the plain Jane, and Stevie was the hot tamale.

I love the two opposite approaches of searching for the Miss Right for Mr. Tupperman. David in the bars, the strip clubs and modeling agencies...to the tune of that great Stevie Wonder standard, "I Was Made to Love Her." And Maddie with her practical wisdom of using the classifieds.... Too funny!

And the trip to Vermont to discover the truth about Tupperman.... love that scene of B&E into his house.

A fun episode marred just a bit by the flat ending to me...that chase scene in the hospital is just too silly for me... but up to that point---with how David solves the case--that is all really good. I just think the chase looks and the dialogue is especially silly and then it ends abruptly.

Was this the chase scene with Maddie in the wheelchair? I never taped this episode so it's a loooooong time ago that I saw the episode. The things you remember after watching it once

Yes it was...and the stupidest part was in the surgery room with the lady in for plastic surgery and the two wheelchairs went round and round her operating table...pushing her in circles and she is hollaring the whole time. That looked really lame to me!

The wheelchair chase seemed pretty contrived too.... I mean come on!! Just cause Tupperman is in a wheelchair that doesn't mean they have to stick Maddie in one.

I like their silly chases but this one was more stupid than silly to me.

I thought it was silly also.

I thought the episode "Somewhere Under The Rainbow" was just about the silliest though. I haven't watched that one in at least 13 years. YUCK

i agree that the ending and the chase really did not need to be for this episode. but besides that this is my favorite episode. david is so insensitve that i just laughed. and then david threw me by kissing maddie's hand on the plane.

it's so wonderful for me to come back from a holiday and see a 'three stooges' inspired episode like this.
the best joke episode so far.

david
no plans on a friday night. the day that people get paid. the night that people get what rhymes with paid.
maddie
i had a date-he had to go to a wedding...his own.

from this i felt that maddie and david took their 'relationship' to another level. he asked her out. and she accepted.

they didn't agree on music, movies or food. and with tuppermans assignment, they were able to tell each other what they wanted from a spouse. they didn't agree on that either. i learned that david is about passion and maddie is about romance.

david looking for women to 'i was made to love her'
and with the stripper 'i like it'
and with stevie '2001, a space odyssey' i really love the music.

addison mimicking the three stooges.

david told maddie that she's always serious, but on the plane, when maddie wasn't looking he was taking her very seriously. and when she said he was not romantic, he kissed her hand.

i really loved this episode and i love maddie and i think i'm in love with david and seeing these two figure each other out is bliss with a smile.
