Default How did Nicky and Alex go from little babies to toddlers in three months?

i mean in the last episode of season 5 the twins were bald but the next episode later which is the first episode of season 6 the twins had a full head of hair now in just 3 months they could not have gone from compeilty bald to a full head of hair so how did this happen

Like a few other sitcoms, it seems like they decided to get new actors for the twins but they were much more than three months older than the previous babies used.

I think they used two different sets of twins, which would explain it.

Sitcoms have some of the most unrealistic things happen.

brent is correct. they used 2 different sets of twins. the producers of the show decided to age the twins over season break...the toumy-wilhoit twins were about 2 when they got the job...

"Through the magic of television"

Nicky and Alex aged the same way little Andy on Family Ties aged. One season he was an infant, the next he's three years old and going to preschool!

Default They stayed the same age

They didn't go to preschool till season 8, when they were 3; actually 2 and 10 months. They were considered one, I think, then in season 6.

Yeah, they first used the Renteria twins but changed to tommy-Willout. Nick and Alex was just 4 when FH endes and that was the correct age. Born -91 and four -95. Step By Step is the most craziest age thing in sitcom. Lily was born -95 and the serie ended -98. She should be 3 but she was over 7 years old when SBS ended! So, the twisn was in the correct age during the seasons 6-8.

Here's a "newer" picture of the twins, Blake & Dylan Toumy-Wilhoit:

You're correct, just check the cast on TVtome and see the two sets of twins.

it happens. They obviously didnt use the same set of twins... but they just wanted them to grow a little quicker. Similar to that blonde girl from Step By Step (The youngest one that was born in the 5th season)

And don't forget that they also did that with Richie Crawford on "Family Matters." Originally, he was played by the baby Joseph Julius Wright. Then after the first season Bryton McClure played him for the rest of the series. I just thought I'd bring that up.

From "Raising Dad" a short lived sitcom with Bob Saget of "Full House" fame.
