Bring back Eddie! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

And I don't mean Eddie Munster! (He's already back on TV Land).

I was searching through my video collection and found an episode of "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" that I recorded back when TNT ran a marathon in memory of Bill Bixby, and now I'm feeling nostalgic for the show. I was just a few years older than Brandon Cruz when the show originally ran back in the early 70's and I really liked it. The acting was superb, and the messages and lessons in the plot were very family orientated and valuable, unlike a lot of junk on TV these days, most of which I ignore.

So I'm hoping TV Land or some other cable channel starts showing it again. If they can bring back Eddie Munster, then they can surely bring back Eddie Corbett

I could see this show on either TV Land or Hallmark.

I agree with you 100 % about bringing back the reruns of "Courtship of Eddie's Father". Unfortunately, we don't get TV Land or The Hallmark Channel, so I'd rather see them on Nick-At-Nite (they should have more than just modern TV classics-how about sitcoms that were on when I was little). I'm only 5 1/2 months older than Brandon Cruz.
It would also be great to see an updating version of the show with Brandon Cruz playing Eddie as an adult. Unfortunately, Bill Bixby and James Komack have passed away, plus the only cast members still in show business are Brandon Cruz and Jodie Foster(a frequent guest-star).
