Nancy McKeon is the best not Kim Fields - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The reason y so many people r talking about Nancy is b/c she was and still is the best. I know that u guys r all talking about Kim behind the camera on her show but Nancy wrote and produced her own little short movie and she she produced and starred in Fire Fighter in I think '85 and she produced and starred in Strange Voices in '87 where she plays a szitophrenic person and she was amazing. Nancy started working when she was 2. What were u guys doing when u were 2??? Nancy was the most popular, talented, and the most beautiful. She's the best!!!

In response to Amanda, have you forgotten that Kim Fields has been in the business since she was about 2 years old as well. Like Nancy, Kim Fields co-wrote, produced and directed a short film titled Silent Bomb. She was on Living Single for 5 years and directed on Living Single. How long did Nancy's sitcoms last? 1 year or so. Kim Fields has directed music videos, plays, sitcoms and her movie Silent Bomb. I understand she's also in Houston directing a tv project. She's also in the play The Vagina Monologues. This play has starred some famous actresses. Yes, I like Kim Fields. I have respect for Nancy McKeon but she's not the only actress on Facts of Life or any sitcom. You guys think that she is the only living actress. In my opinion, Kim Fields is prettier, more talented and can compete with Nancy McKeon any time. All applauds to Kim! Like I read on another message yesterday, I think it's a racial thing. If Kim Fields was a white, she would certainly get more recognition.

Nancy is good , yes avtually NAncy is WONDERFUL, SHE ROCKS!

But don't put Kim Fields down, u probably weren't try'n too, but don't say Kim Fields isn't the best, some peopl might think she is.

Kim Fields is good too.

Lisa Whelchel is good too, all of them are good.

Ok, This is just my opinion. Yes, someone did have a good point about Living Single compared to Can't Hurry Love, but I think Lisa Whelchel should get some credit too. I mean, if anyone has ever read Creative Correction, they would know how hard it is to raise 3 kids, and some of the stories in there...well, they certainly tell it. Yes, she may not have produced anything, or had her OWN sitcom, like where she was the main star along w/no one else, but she should get some of the credit too. Just an opionion

Everyone is different and has different opinions, so every ones favorite actress is going to vary. I'm cool with that. I just wish racism wouldn't be brought into the picture.

I didn't start this topic for a fight. I started it so I could voice my opinion. I don't like Nancy b/c she's white and I don't dislike Kim. I think she's very beautiful and talented but I like Nancy better. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend is black and I'm white and u shouldn't say that we like Nancy b/c she's white. Personally, I think that Nancy has gotten more reconization on tv then Kim Fields but oh well. That's b/c more people like her.

Tell it like it is Joanna!!! I agree 100% and i love the little reminder on how long Nancy's sitcom lasted! haha... Kim Fields is NOW dirtecting and producing Tiana and Kenan and Kel and she was guest stars on all of them... she was working since she was about 2 years old and she did the mrs. butterworths commercials.. which is how she was discovered... she was te cutest little girl i ever saw and now she's the prettiest woman i ever saw... she is awsome in every way!! Kim Fields Rocks man!! and if we're going to have a contest over hwo is better nancy or kim.. you are SOOO gonna lose!

I agree. Everyone has their own favorite and it seems rather silly to turn this into a competition. It's great that everyone is voicing their opinion, in fact I love hearing a different viewpoint. It gets boring when everyone loves the same thing. But I certainly don't see the need to start insulting the actresses, or each other for that matter.

Just wanted to add that I do have my favorite but I love all 4 girls. I can't imagine FOL without any one of them. They are all what made FOL such a great show in my opinion.

Ok look, everyone, ok personally I like Nancy McKeon a lot better, but we really have to stop this because they are both great actresses to have accomplished what they have in they're lifetime, it's more than many of us ever will so why are we fighting over this. Who cares who's show stayed on longer and who produced more movies, they are both remarkable women. It's just a matter of choice, it has nothing to do with racism, so no one has to worry ok.
