Question Bugs Bunny and Speedy Gonzales?

The one thing Bugs Bunny and Speedy Gonzales appear to have in common,is an infamous arch rivalry kind of relationship with Daffy Duck. But I've often wondered how Bugs and Speedy would get along if they were ever in a cartoon together.I've never ever seen any kind of interaction between these two characters.Being Sylvester's common prey is the one thing Speedy has in common with Tweety Bird. But there was just one brief scene in Tweety's High Flying Adventure that had Speedy and Tweety together.

I'd have to watch some of those other toons to see similarities. Bugs Bunny is such a favorite character for me, I don't pay nearly as much attention to some of the others. They had a Looney Tunes marathon on Boomerang a couple months ago. If it was a Porky or Daffy based cartoon, I didn't have the same interest in watching them as I had if it was Bugs Bunny. I'll have to check out some Speedy cartoons.

Well, to be frank, I've always preferred:

1.Sylvester w/Speedy Gonzales

2.Yos.Samor ELmer udd,Marvin,Wile E., w/Bugs Bunny

3.Porky w/Daffy, when Daffy would confoudn the heck out of the sausage on two-legs esp.when Porky was a cop or something. (like in director Robert McKimson's 1945 debut, DAFFY DOODLES, or fellow director Art Davis's 1947 RIFF RAFFY DAFFY-great dialgoue from Mel Blanc as Daffy: "I'm doing BEARS now"(he had been drawing mustaches as the joke) in DOODLES and "You'll never MISS with THIS"(sells Porky a guN!) in RIFF RAFFY)

Yosemite Sam was best as a Bugs adversary (esp.in one of the funniest toons ever, 1960's FROM HARE TO HEIR where Sam has to hold his tempoer or no money-Bugs is assigned to give Sam some pounds in English currency.)

Hard to pick a favorite Sylvester and SPeedy short..Bugs wasn't seen a lot in new shorts in the sixties..if he HAD been paired with Speedy I'm afraid he would have been made into a villian..(Remember the DUCK AMUCK follow up that Chuck Jones tries..RABBIT RAMPAGE..I actually liked it..)

Yeah I guess that was kind of like a rule with Looney Tunes. If two specific cartoon characters were to star in a cartoon short together, one of them had to be villianised somehow.Bugs and Daffy being a perfect example.Or Daffy and Speedy for that matter. But seeing as,unlike Daffy,Sylvester,Yosemite Sam,The Tasmainian Devil and While E.Coyote, who usually play villianous roles,Bugs,Tweety,Speedy and The Road Runner are usually portrayed as the innocent victims.Therefor,a cartoon starring Bugs and Speedy together just wouldn't work.
