Question Don't you just hate it when...?

...When you buy a 20 oz bottle of soda when they're having a contest, so you look at the cap after opening it, and it says you won a free 20 oz bottle of soda, then you turn it over, only to see you were supposed to redeem it by last month?

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS.

This is the 2nd time it's happened this month. Coca-Cola was having their "1:4 Wins Free Coke!" thing a while ago, and all the bottle caps says if you win, you have to redeem it by 1/2/04. I just won a free 20 oz bottle for the 2nd time in two weeks, and I can't redeem them anymore.

I thought for sure you were going to say, "Don't you hate it when... you're baking a cake and you run out of eggs, so you go down to the store and buy the eggs, and then when you get back home you suddenly realize... YOU NEED MILK TOO!"

People who don't watch Mama's Family are not going to get that.

Well I don't drink pop anymore so that doesn't bother me, but I remember the first time I won a free pop from one of those contests, I rode my bike to Rite Aid with just my bottle cap, not knowing that it would cost me 10˘ for the deposit. So I had to ride my bike all the way back home to get a dime before I could get my pop.

Still. The caps are purple, so the text on the cap is white and it clearly says "1/2/04" on the cap, so anybody would turn it over & look at the date on the cap.

Scuff it up or something. Do anything. And if you try it out, go in a line where a teeny is running the register- most dont pay attention or just dont care.

OR, you could lie and tell the cashier you asked one of the managers about it and they said it was ok. Be like 'I told the manager they had old caps in the cooler that were past expiration, and he said theyd accept it.' Of course, dont say that unless they notice the date!
