Jinny, Teddy, and Hannah were sitting at the dinner table...Teddy had made pasta but Hannah would not eat any...
Jinny:"come on Hannah...eat the pasta..."
Jinny had Hannah in her lap...Hannah turned her head away every time she would try to feed her...Jinny put some pasta in her mouth and said "mhmm..." hoping Hannah would want some then....
Hannah:"cookie..."
Jinny:"no..pasta..."
Hannah:"...cookie.."
Teddy:"I think that is the only word she knows..."
Jinny:"well she isn't eating this...I don't know what to feed her..."
Hannah:"cookie..."
Teddy:"give her a cookie..."
Jinny:"I can't give her cookies for dinner..."
Jinny looked around the whole kitchen for Hannah something to eat...finally they decided to make trip to McDonalds for some chicken Mcnuggets...

CD and Nate sat on the couch in silence...Nate finally spoke up...
Nate:"it's boring without Hannah around...."
CD:"yeah...she keeps me busy...."
Nate:"speaking of getting busy...I need to head over to Shelly's..."
CD just rolled her eyes at that....
Nate:"What?...I can't be with you but I can't be with anyone else either?..."
CD:"Nate, I don't give a damn who you are with..."
Nate leaned in and gently kissed her lips...
Nate:"then why can't I be with you?..."
CD:"Nate..."
Nate:"What?!...you know you want it as much as I do..."
CD:"...yes I want it...but...we can't...."
Nate:"Why?!"
CD:"How many times do I have to explain this to you?"
Nate:"I guess as many times as it takes to make me understand why our partnership is more important to you than us being together..."
CD:"love doesn't last forever..people change......and why not stay like we are now?...and be friends forever..."
Nate:"CD, Im not going to cheat on you!...and I could never fall out of love with you....why can't you see that?"
CD:"Whats the big deal anyway?..you have Shelly..."
Nate:"Im just with her to take my mind off of you....you and Hannah are all I think about..."
He started to kiss her neck...
CD:"you should probably go..."
Nate:"fine!"
Nate grabbed his coat and left agrily....CD put her head in her hands..."why can't I just stop being so damn scared!" she thought to herself....

Jinny and Teddy and finally gotten Hannah to eat a couple chicken nuggets...the three of them layed in bed...Hannah was in the middle singing...of course they couldn't understand a word she was saying...but she carried a nice little tune...
Jinny:"we are not going to get any sleep on this trip..."
Teddy:"yeah..but we are still going to have a blast...I just love Disneyland..."
Jinny laughed and rolled her eyes....

First thing Nate did when he got home was call Jinny to see about Hannah...Jinny answered the phone...
Nate:"Hey Jinny..its me Nate..."
Jinny:"let me guess...you were worried about Hannah too?"
Nate:"no...I just wanted to tell her goodnight..."
Jinny:"ok.."
Jinny handed the phone to Hannah...
Nate:"Hey Baby!"
Hannah:"Daddy!"
Nate:"are you being a good girl for Nee?"
Hannah:"Nee!...doggie..cookie...mommy..."
Nate:"uhhh ok...Daddy just wanted to say goodnite..."
Hannah:"doggie?"
Nate:"bye sweetie...let me talk to Nee..."
Hannah handed the phone to Jinny and proceeded singing and patting Teddy's arm..
Jinny:"we are trying to get her to go to sleep...we have to get up early in the morning..."
Nate:"I always read her a book...well actually a golf
magazine..but she doesn't know the difference..."
Jinny:"ok I'll try that..."
they both said goodbye and hung up the phone...Jinny reached in the drawer beside her bed and pulled out a Victoria's Secret catolog...
Jinny:"I guess this will do..."
she put Hannah in her lap and began to read to her....Hannah sucked her thumb and twirled her fingers in Jinny's long black hair..."

CD had a shower and got into bed...she was used to snuggling to Hannah everynight, so she hugged a pillow...a tear fell down her face...she missed her baby..and she wanted Nate....it felt wierd being all alone...finally she sat up and grabbed the phone...she dailed Nate's number...she knew he was with Shelly, but called anyway...Nate answered the phone...he hadn't been able to sleep either...
CD:"hey...its me...."
Nate"hey..."
CD:"what are you doing?"
Nate:"just trying to go to sleep..."
CD:"Im sorry...I figured you would be at Shelly's anyway..."
Nate sighed...
Nate:"CD..."
CD:"I didn't mean anything by that...I just thought thats were you would be..."
Nate:"well if you thought that is where I was going to be, then why did you call?"
CD:"I uh...well...I...I want you to come back over here...."
Nate:"you do?"
CD:"if you want to..I just..."
she started to sob...
CD:"...I miss my baby..."
Nate:"hey don't cry!..I'll be right over..."
Nate quickly got dressed and headed over to CD's again...

Hannah had finally fallen to sleep....Jinny layed her in between her and Teddy...
Teddy:"so...when are we going to get married and have a baby?"
Jinny:"here we go again..."
Teddy:"come on Jinny!...we obviously love each other...why can't we get married?"
Jinny:"Im just not ready yet....I just got out of a marriage...."
Teddy:"over a year ago!...we don't have forever to have a baby you know?"
Jinny:"yes Teddy!...you don't have to keep reminding me that my biological time clock is ticking!...I know Im not getting any younger...."
Teddy:"then lets have a baby!...even if we are not married...we can do that whenever you are ready..."
Jinny:"what about my career?"
Teddy:"what about it?...Magda did it just fine...CD is doing it just fine..."
Jinny:"yeah but they have their mothers helping them..."
Teddy:"we have my mother...."
Jinny laughed...
Jinny:"oh yeah!...I can see it now...she will have our baby at the country club eating caviar and sipping champagne....

Nate arrived to CD's...she let him in...
CD:"thanks for coming....I miss Hannah when Im alone..."
Nate:"it's ok....I wanted to come back...."
They sat on the couch and talked for a while...about a case they were on and Hannah...
CD:"she is just like you..."
Nate:"yeah..my parents say the same thing..."
CD:"she has an opinion about everything...just like you...and I can't even understand what she is saying!..."
Nate:"I think it is some kind of alien language...."
they both sat for a while...unsure what to talk about now...CD finally got up the courage to ask him what she had been wanting to ask him for a while...
CD:"Nate?"
Nate:"yeah.."
CD:"do you want to have sex?"
Nate:"What!!??"
she just gave him a "do you or don't you?" look...
Nate:"uhh...yeah...."
CD:"but nothing else....this doesn't mean I want us to be a couple or anything...."
Nate didn't want to just sleep with her, he wanted to be her husband...but he knew if he wanted her, now was the time to really show her how he felt...
CD:"well?"
Nate:"ok...."
CD led him to her bedroom...she right away began stripping off his clothes...
CD:"oh god Nate....do you realize the last time I done this, it was with you?"
Nate:"what!?..whoa!...that was almost....what?....two years ago?"
CD:"yep...I hope I can even remember what to do...uhh wait a sec...do you have a condom?...I love Hannah...but Im not going through another pregnancy..."
Nate laughed...
Nate:"yeah I have one in my wallet..."
She pretty much seduced him after that....he didn't mind it though....he was just happy to be with her....

Nate and CD layed exausted in her bed....
Nate(still breathing heavily):"..wow...I can tell its been two years...."
CD:"yeah well you can't exactly have a sex life when you have a small child...."
Nate:"it was great...fast..but great..."
CD smiled and snuggled close to him....
CD:"I feel guilty...."
Nate:"why?"
CD:"what if Hannah is missing me?...and Im too busy screwing you to be with her...."
Nate:"...she is fine....Jinny was gonna read her a story...so Im sure she is asleep by now...."
CD:"you called, huh?"
Nate:"...I had to tell her goodnite...."
CD:"and you pick on me for being over-protective?....ha...you are just as bad as I am...."
Nate:"no one is as bad as you CD..."
CD:"you are!....I know you call my Mom everyday to check on Hannah....she told me...."
Nate:"she lied...I really call her becuase we are secretly having an affair..."
CD smacked his arm...
CD:"ewww....thats a gross thought...."
CD layed in his arms for a while...then she started kiss him all over his chest....
CD:"so...you wanna go at it again?"
Nate lighty pushed her off of him and turned the other way...
Nate:"no I don't want to go at it again....you are crazy if you think Im just going to be your "partner with benifits"...."
CD:"fine!...there are plenty of other guys out there to sleep with!..."
she got up and yanked the sheet off of Nate....she wrapped it around her naked body...
CD:"Im sleeping on the couch!"
she left the room mad....he pulled the blanket from the bottom of the bed over him..."she deserves the couch for the way she is acting...." he thought to himself and then quickly fell asleep....CD layed on the couch tossing and turning...unable to get comfortable...finally, an hour later..she fell to sleep also....

Jinny, Teddy, and Hannah got up early the next morning and left for Disneyland... Hannah slept and sang the whole way there....
Jinny:"I have never been to Disneyland before...."
Teddy:"you are going to have so much fun!....its the greatest place on earth!"
Jinny:"...once Magda and I had a case...this guy was using girls to swallow condoms with cocaine in them...he told the girl that we caught that he would send her to Disneyland for smuggling them in...."
Teddy:"..well I would have done it too for a free trip to Disneyland...."
Jinny shook her head and laughed....

CD woke up to the smell of breakfast cooking....she stirred around a bit but then got up...she walked into the kitchen with the sheet around her....Nate was standing at the stove, naked, cooking breakfast....
CD rubbed her eyes and yawned..
CD:"what are you doing?"
Nate:"oh good morning...Im just making breakfast..."
she sat down at the table...
CD:"why are you naked?"
Nate looked down...
Nate:"I don't know....I just felt like cooking in the nude...."
CD:"well you need to put something on...I don't wanna look at your white ass..."
Nate laughed and flipped a pancake....CD walked over and poured some coffee...
Nate:"so...how did you sleep?"
she glared at him...
CD:"how do you think?....every part of my body is aching....that is the most uncomfortable couch...and why are you being so nice this morning?....you were acting like an ******* last night!..."
Nate:"well...I made a decision last night..."
CD:"what kind of decision?"
Nate:"Monday morning, Im telling captain I want a new partner..."

she threw the boxers at him and sat at the table...Nate smirked and slipped on his boxers...
Nate:"you weren't calling it little last night....."
CD:"oh shut up!"
Nate brought the food over to the table and they both began eating in silence....

CD had finally gotten Nate to leave after breakfast...after sitting around pouting all day, CD finally admited to herself that she was a little happy she and Nate could finally be a couple and Hannah could have her Daddy all the time...she wasn't going to let Nate know he had won just yet though...she wanted him to suffer a while...

It was late that evening and Jinny, Teddy, and Hannah were on there way to the hotel...
Teddy:"didn't you have fun?"
Jinny:"yeah it was great....I really loved those tea-cups..."
Teddy:"I knew you would...."
he looked back at Hannah who was fast asleep in her car-seat...
Teddy:"...Hannah had a great time also....we do not have to worry about her keeping us up tonight..."
Jinny:"yeah...I think meeting mickey was her favorite..."
Teddy:"Im glad we brought her..."
Jinny:"me too..."
Teddy:"we will have to bring our kids one day..."
Jinny smiled...
Jinny:"yeah one day....one FAR AWAY day...."

they brought Hannah home the next morning...Nate came over to CD's to see her when she got there...CD ignored him mostly...she didn't want him to think his asking for a new partner made her change her mind....CD and Nate ran outside when they got there...Teddy took Hannah out of her car-seat and handed her to Nate...
Nate:"look who it is!!"
Hannah:"Daddy!"
CD:"hey get over here!..."
CD took her from Nate...
CD:"Mommy missed you!...and so did your Nana..."
Nate:"..and so did Daddy..."
Nate took her back from CD...
they told Jinny and Teddy thanks and goodbye....then they went inside and played with Hannah....

CD was nervous when Monday Morning approached..she figured she would get partnered with Raina...but she was so scared Kate would have to transfer Nate...she and Nate happend to be walking into the bullpin at the same time...
Nate:"so you gonna go talk to cap with me?"
CD:"I guess so...she is going to want a explanation..."
they walked to Kate's office...she motioned for them to come in..
Kate:"what can I do for you two?"
Nate:"we need to talk to you..."
CD:"HE need to talk to you..."
CD was felt so embarassed to be telling her captain she had had an affair with her partner...it was so un-like her...
Kate:"ok...talk..."
Nate:"well...I want a new partner...."
Kate:"What?!...why??"
Nate:"Im in love with CD..."
Kate:"you are???"
CD:"yes and he is Hannah's father..."
Kate:"so those rumours are true..."
CD:"what rumours!?"
Kate:"oh people had just being saying Nate was her father...I didn't believe them...but I did wonder why she favored Nate..."
Nate:"so what are you going to do?"
Kate:"well...luckily today we got a new inspector...CD you get her and Nate you Raina..."
Nate:"is that it?....you don't seem suprised..."
Kate laughed...
Kate:"everyone figured you had something going on...you can just look at the two of you and tell you are in love..."
Nate smiled...CD did too...
Kate:"Nate you can go ahead...Raina already has the case..."
Nate:"ok..."
Nate rubbed CD's head and then walked off...
CD:"Nate!"
she brushed her hair back straight...
CD:"who is my new partner?"
Kate:"oh I think you know her...Angela Reid..."
CD:"Angela is coming back!?"
Kate:"yep...oh there she is now..."
Angela entered Kate's office...CD got up and hugged...
Angela:"hey CD!...you look great!"
CD:"so do you..."
Kate:"Angela, you are CD's partner..."
Angela:"sounds great!"

CD and Angela left Kate's office...
CD:"so why did you come back?"
Angela:"well...Daniel left me...with two kids...I worked at the mayors office again for a while...but that just wasn't paying enough..."
CD:"I can't believe he left you!...and with kids..."
Angela:"yep...suprised me too..."
CD:"was it another women?"
Angela:"yeah..some white girl...a nurse from his hospital..."
CD:"whoa...he seemed like such a nice guy...Im so sorry..."
Angela:"its ok...Im better off without him...we don't need his sorry @ss..."
CD:"how old are your kids?"
Angela:"my girl, Jessica, is four..and Calvin, my boy, just turned two..."
CD:"my daughter Hannah is almost two..."
Angela:"YOU have a daughter???...how did that happen??"
CD laughed...
CD:"its a long story...but my tubes came untied..."
Angela:"so you stayed with Paul then?"
CD:"oh hell no...."
she pointed over to Nate...he was telling a joke to Raina and she was laughing hystarically...
CD:"uhh...that guy is her father..."
