I guess I would say I'm not too fond of 90's sitcoms since I was going through my teenager phase and didn't exactly have the best of times in high school that there weren't that many shows that I could escape to, well I guess maybe The Simpsons and Married With Children.

Oh No

No doubt...the 2000's and beyond. The characters are cynical and not likeable...I even try to get into TBBT since I know someone who like the show, but Sheldon can be a ***** and It's a Chuck Lorre Productions...the one who gave us Two and a Half Men!

multicamera sitcoms and sitcoms in general have gone into a direction that i don't relate to, nor resonate with me. it's the format that i struggle with.

The dumb son character shtick is getting old.

There aren't any new sitcoms for 2015-16 that I'm interested in.

There is no decade where I don't like ANY sitcom. I will say this current decade (2011-2020) is the weakest but it also includes a couple of my all-time favorites (Community, Parks & Recreation).

In my earlier post, I was complaining about the then current decade. That was in 2003 and I had problems with sitcoms then. I didn't get to like that decade until later on but those first few years were quite upsetting to me.

Looking back at the thread from 12 years ago, the question should have been

"what decade had the least appealing sitcoms?"

And since I only like 3 from the 1960's that would be the decade

I like about as many '60s sitcoms.

Sitcoms from 1980 and forward generally do not appeal to me.

Most of the sitcoms I like are from the 60's.

The 70's for me was a so-so decade for sitcoms. Some shows I like, others I don't.

Sitcoms I like from the 50's are: Amos & Andy, Honeymooners (classic 39), Leave It To Beaver. Bachelor Father is OK sometimes, not a big favorite though. I think I Love Lucy is overrated, I honestly don't see what the fuss is about regarding that show. Some episodes are OK, but overall the show doesn't appeal to me. I prefer Lucy's 60's sitcom The Lucy Show.

If you get a chance, give The Lucy Show a try, maybe you will like it. The 1st season is OK, but I think the show hit it's stride in season 2 when Gale Gordon joined the cast. Lucy and Gale had great screen chemistry together, they share many funny moments together in the episodes. Lucy had better screen chemistry with Gale Gordon, compared to the screen chemistry in I Love Lucy with real life husband Desi Arnaz. Lucy and Desi did have their good moments together on screen, but there usually seemed to be a little something off with the two of them, so I'm not surprised they ended up getting divorced.

Not sure, but there are some episodes on you tube. Video quality is only fair, but better than nothing I guess. Lucy Gets Trapped is a funny one, try checking that one out.
