Info on the 1969 comic book adaptation of The Colossal Show is linked to, but I'll add that none other than DC did an adaptation of Pantomime Pictures' Hot Wheels that went on sale about a half year after that comic, early 1970. Alex Toth art for both the series and the DC comic. Here's the cover of #1, it was a 6 issue run:
