hey jennylee, about taking care of "little freddie" (this is what maria calls him).
maria said: something else happened that difficult summer which contributed to freddie's hurt, his loneliness and his confusion. kathy had sent freddie jr. to stay with her own mother in albuquerque. our son came over to our home one day. i could see that he was very down. how is the baby?
i asked him. i was shocked when he said i don't know. he's with his grandmother. it makes me so depressed to come home and find his room empty.

it would have been nice if she had ask maria
if she would like to see or say goodbye to the baby.

Cool

Hey guys after re-reading parts of my book, the reason Freddie was working so hard was because he had huge legal bills to pay because he was being sued by Jonas... He flet he couldn't make any plans about his life...until the case was over...He had lots of money in escrow but he couldn't touch it..Others begged him not to quit Jonas after he signed the contract..but he wouldn't listen...Then Kathy had a daytime maid..then she wanted a live-in maid...give me a break!!!! He niver should have looked at her much less married her...but thats what happened..... He had conflicting emotions wanting to be married to her but wanting the freedom of a bachelor...His mother warned him to go slow with this...so he wouldn't get hurt...I wonder what she is really all about..the book never really states whether Mary and Karl go to spend any time with Freddie Jr....I wonder?

Aww, that is so sad she didn't let him see the baby. I could tell by seeing some old pics of him with the baby that he loved the baby sooo much.

Today in BOOKS-A-MILLION I saw in the cheapo books section a book on stars that had died & how they died & it had Freddie in it with a pic of him & a write up on it with it. Nice pic. Anyway, it said that before he died NBC had had him sign a contract to be on the show for the next 5 years & get paid 6 million. Had he lived we would've gotten to see him 5 more years & he would've been rich! So sad he never got to see any of that. Hubby said he might get the book next week. It's only $9.97...

Edited for those pesky spelling errors!

WELCOME TO TRACY'S SCHOOL OF FINDING "PROOF"
To:Horselover,
first of all my response was to jennylee.
how do you know she was not there? were you
there? do YOU have first hand knowledge that
she did not? you are sooooooooo pro kathy now
"that's scary". to settle the score, for you
to find Your proof. your lesson begins here.

first get your PI license
travel to nevada to the ranch,
get alllllllllll the files on her clients,
she worked there for 3 years so I suggest you
get started now on your journey. and report
back to the board with "your" proof. you can
do better than this, get it from the "horses
mouth" to get you going in the right direction the name of her 3 year employment
is the "mustang ranch" you got tracy's special "free lesson"

regarding me spreading rumors, I am NOT playboy magazine!

hurry up now and get to nevada and back so I
can give you a grade. with your "proof"

Gee I wish I could have a daytime maid! Sounds like she wanted to live a high & mighty Hollywood life. I don't know her so I have no idea what was going on in her mind...

to cheryl and jennylee,

it was so sad to read where he was telling
his mother, "I can't afford a 24-hour maid
right now" something else he said, "I am a simple person I just expect my wife to be there when I come home to relax. I'm doing my best, but I cannot fight every night." I
could see he was angry inside and he was losing weight. he told me that some nights he'd just leave the house and drive into the
mountains in the dark and shoot his gun into the air just to relieve his tensions. why are the nights so short for me.

to cheryl and jennylee,
here is more:
on the 27th of september, freddie called me. "the live-in maid is coming today. help me bring a few things over to your place". "how much do you have"? he gave me quite a list. we put his things in both karl's car and mine. "I'll come home with you because I want you to make me something to eat," freddie said.

another thing that made me cry: he went to his father room and talked to karl alone."pa, I want to tell you a secret. I have been bleeding inside. but please don't tell ma. I don't want to worry her".

he did not go to the doctor, because he had a
very busy work schedule to pay for kathy's demands.

It's so sad & heartbreaking. On todays CATM I missed Chico so much. Della mentions he's in Mexico but he's not. He'll never come back. Salvador is on there today & all that made me miss him so much & get sad. On a more upbeat note Pat Buttram who played Mr. Haney on Greeen Acres & Petticoat Junction was on there & was a real hoot as he always is.

Sounds like Chico-Freddies wife may have been the cause of some of his problems. Reading the excerpts ya'll posted from the books, it's so sad... :'(

Angry

This is making me literally nauseous. There is nothing that gets to me more than self-righteous, holier-than-thou, judgemental, bigoted hypocrites. To have that much hate and anger towards someone you have never met, over someone you never met, sounds to me like you have some serious issues. We cannot go around judging others as if we have no faults ourselves. I'm sure there could be many nasty things said behind your back, as well as behind mine, but that doesn't make either of us less than a human being, and deserving of anything less than what everyone wants--a little respect. People screw up. People make bad choices in life. People marry the wrong people. Some women leave their husbands to protect their children. And some women sacrifice their child's happiness, mental health, and sometimes even life, just to hold on to their "man". Guess which one I have more respect for?
Get off your soapbox and take a look at the real world. We all screw up--but we have a chance to make better choices, and Kathy made the right choice for her son.
I just hope people around you are a little more understanding about the bad choices you make in life.
"Horselover"--thanks for being the lone voice of reason!

Red face

Now this is really getting ridiculous. All because a little playboy article......... Sure we "All" make mistakes we're only human. We're only COMMENTING on what we've read! There's 2 sides to every story but, we're commenting on what the article said.... If Kathy doesn't like it "Tell her to write a book" & set the record straight!!!!! I would buy it!!! Mary wrote a book. If I didn't know better I would think that you're the "real Kathy" and not saying it! Don't bash us because we're the innocent parties in this Kathydrama...............

Question

According to the E! True Hollywood Story, Freddie and Kathy were living together a month after they met. Would anyone here be inclined to say that you can know someone well enough in a month to be sure you're in love with them? I don't mean in lust or infatuated--I mean in love enough to spend the rest of your life taking the good and the bad equally?

Mariposa--My cousin and his wife became engaged less than a month after they met. They've been married more than 6 years now!

Does anyone know how Kathy was portrayed in Can You Hear the Laughter? I saw the movie a long time ago and I don't remember.

JennyLee, send me an e-mail, I want to talk with you privately

By the way, Kathy did not have "tons" of cash. Freddie's death left his family in debt. In addition to the lawsuit from Jonas, he was out $6 million he would have made in the 5-year Chico deal. Also, the family did sue Kroger and the insurance company -- they only got $250,000 in insurance money. So if Kathy was hurting for cash, and if she had a case against Playboy, she certainly would have sued them for libel

Cool

"JUDGE TRACY" here is some more to make you nauseous.
to starshine: people judge all the time no matter if they like you or not, if people say nasty things about me I do not care. I am
very sure they talk about you also. yes you are right people screw up, kathy and her johns were doing at lot of that. freddie was a human being also, you said kathy made the right choice? taking little freddie to new mexico without maria saying and kissing the baby goodbye was my point. soapbox? you need to get out the soapboxessssssssssssssss. so that you may see clear, your eyes are full of bubbles. kathy is the one with serious issues, maybe that explains her 3 marriages,
maybe more!
