I know there is a rule that you can not trade a player you aquired in a trade for a certain amount of days. Maybe it is not 45 days, probably 3 days.

Teams cannot trade players under the following circumstances:
For two months after receiving the player in trade, if the player is being traded in combination with other players. However, the team is free to trade the player by himself (not packaged with other players) immediately. This two-month restriction applies only to teams over the salary cap. |

I am a little disappointed the Knicks didn't bring back Wallace in this trade.

I know the Knicks don't have anything the Hawks want, exept for Kurt Thomas, but the salries don't matchup for a straightup Wallace/Thomas trade, that is why I am disappointed, because they had the Bucks has a third team that could have helped this trade happen.
Wallace could be Knick, Piston, or Maverick. If he does not end up with the Knicks this season, (I think the Knicks are a long shot to get him via trade deadline trade but Ishah has worked a couple of miracle trades already), of the Pistons and Mavericks, I hope he ends up with the Mavericks, so he would be in the Western Conference and Knicks don't have to play him in the playoffs, unless by some miracle they meet in the Finals, if that happens who cares, Knicks are in the Finals, also maybe he helps the Mavericks knockoff the Lakers, because I hate the Lakers. But I think the Knicks have a good chance of getting Wallace via Free Agentcy this summer. |

The Hawks are just looking to dump all the payroll they can, they have zero interest in matching up salaries. Watch them make a run at Kobe or T-Mac over the summer and hire Doc Rivers as their coach.

The NBA rule, is that you have to match salaries when you trade players. There can only be $1-2 million diffrence in salaries. This is not like baseball, where the Yankees traded a $5 million player to the Rangers for $25 million player.
The Hawks want players that are in the last year of their contracts. |

TVJE learn how to spell. Did u go to school? LOL. U spell like your illiterate. LOL@Jekouptown spelling Rasheed Rashweed. T-Mac or Kobe aren't gonna sign with Atlanta in the offseason. They ain't that stupid LOL. If i was Doc Rivers, i wouldn't even take the Hawks head coach job if they offered it to me. That team won't be going anywhere for a long time & their players are scrubs. Atlanta has to be the dumbest team in the NBA when it comes to trading players & gettin nothin in return. Why would they get rid of Theo Ratliff & Nazr Mohammed & now they don't have a center? Plus they traded Glenn Robinson in the offseason last yr & got Terrell Brandon in return & then Terrell ended up retiring LOL.

Atlanta needs to not only sell their team, they need to get out of the NBA period hahahahahahahahahahahaha. They are horrible. I feel bad for Rasheed Wallace that he has to play the rest of this season on that crappy team. Glenn Robinson is still a good player for Philly. He's just always sucked as a defender.
