I voted for Hogan Family at tvshowsondvd. I also hope that it will retain the original titles - Valerie and Valerie's Family in the original 1986-88 seasons. Does Warner Bros. have the rights to this show?

I'm not sure. I know Lorimar owned Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family but as far as I know, they're out of business. I know Warner Bros. now owns the rights to Dallas, which was formerly owned by Lorimar, so perhaps they now own Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family as well.

Almost forgot. Perhaps Warner Bros. don't own Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family but could work out a deal where they would have ownership like they did with Dallas, unless Lorimar was a company under the Warner Bros. umbrella already.

Warner Bros. owns "Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family." In fact, I believe they own most of, or the entire Lorimar library.

I recently sent a message to the webmaster for Jeremy Licht as I came across him through work (as an investment advisor). She suggested I give CBS a call regarding getting these episodes onto DVD. Being British I don't really know a lot about CBS and reading some of these posts not sure if they'd be able to help. Am I right in saying the episodes were first aired by CBS?

Anyway, I for one would love to see 'Valerie, Valerie's Family and the Hogan Family' on DVD, probably too much to ask for it on Region 2

CBS I think would be useless. Firstly, they only inherited the show for its last season, and it was a short, scattered last season, airing sporadically on Saturdays and Fridays.

NBC would be the one to consider, but then again, I don't think networks are much help since they don't own the shows outright. It's the producers and the company behind the shows that do. My suggestion is to let Warner Brothers or Lorimar (if it still exists) know that there is interest in the show. Also, becoming a registered member of www.tvshowsondvd.com and voting for the show to be put on DVD would help as well. The companies actually use www.tvshowsondvd.com as a valid resource for knowing which shows would likely sell, based on how many votes are in for a particular show.

That's your best bet. You can try CBS or NBC if you want, but their associations with the show expired once the show left the air. But perhaps they'd have some advice to give that I can't offer.
