The parts I found most scary were the scenes with The Wiz and the scenes with those giant pink "monsters" chasing them through the subway. To this day I still haven't figured out what they are suppose to be. I found the evil witch more funny than scary. My only complaint was the casting of Diana Ross as Dorothy. Dorothy is suppose to be a teenager, and Diana Ross was pushing 40 when they filmed that. She was also wearing the ugliest dress I had ever seen. |

There are very few movies I do not like. In fact, I'll even watch movies I don't like twice, just to give them a second chance. But I can say honestly, I HATE THIS MOVIE!
I hate it, hate it, hate it. The first movie screwed up the story enough, but it was so cute I have to forgive it. There's nothing cute here. I'm from Detroit (Motown, hello!) so of course I love Diana Ross, but this movie was painfull. Bad story, bad costumes, bad sets, bad music. How I ever managed to make it through the whole thing amazes me. Possibly the one movie I hate more is TOMMY. |
