The same things happen to me when it comes to touching things. It's really scary... if I stratch in between two of my fingers, I have to do it with all of them. It literally feels like I'm getting cut or something if I don't.

It's nice to know I'm not the only person unevened by things and has to touch both ends of something. I have those type of thoughts all the time, too. I hate them because sometimes they are so horrible I can't believe I could even think of it, I have to take it back to myself a number of times until I believe it's gone and there's no curse or anything. Or if I don't do something I'll think that something awful will happen.

I hate OCD so much.

Oh my god, i seriously thought i was the only one like that. i think the most ridiculous things like "if i dont sit cross legged, something bad will happen" or if im listening to a song i'll think "if i'm not in the kitchen by the time they sing the next line, something bad will happen" it's not as bad as it was a few years ago, but it still happens and i hate it.

This other thing I do...it's weird, I always have to look at the lighter part of a corner or something when I'm just sitting there watching tv, and if something bad or scary or something comes on I have to like hold my breath and then look at that light spot and breath there. And I have this whole breathing problem where I have to cough every once in awhile to make it feel even I guess, and when I'm watching tv I CAN'T cough while looking at the people or even when I'm not watching tv. I have to look up at some ****ing corner. That won't last forever, though, it always changes. Once I get myself to stop doing one thing, something else starts.

I do that. I tell myself if I don't do a certain thing, everyone I know is going to die, or I'm going to die, or something bad will happen.

I hate when a door closes. I just hate it. I feel like a ****ing psycho because everytime someone shuts a door, I'll start having a ****ing fit... and I'm kinda/sorta like that too. I'll tell myself that if I start crying about something (I cry about everything.. I'm really sensitive, but what do you expect.. I'm about as depressed as one can get) that I'll like, die tomorrow or something. It's almost like I scare myself out of doing something.

And i get really, REALLY irritated by some things people do that have no effect on me or anything. i mean like if they scratch their nails against something like cement or chalk... uggggh. i just get this uncomfortable feeling in my stomach until they scratch something soft. the same thing goes for when i scratch a chalkboard or something, but i can see why because its just me wanting to sooth my nerves, but i have no idea why it bothers me when other people do it.

My sister and mom catch me doing it alot. Sometimes they're like, what the hell...but I've tried to make myself do it only twice. Like...I turn it off, turn it on for a minute so it'll just look like I forgot something, and then turn it off again.

Yeah, a few years ago my mom saw me constantly nodding my head back and she asked why and i said i just kept getting the urge to. at least she took it seriously until like my dad who just made fun of me when i told him about why i think i have OCD... he was just laughing and saying "so if you put one hand in a fire, you'll want to put in the other one to?" *******.

Don't you make fun of fat people, consider them gross to look at, and blame McDonalds as the root of the problem? And that's not offensive?

No, I do not make fun of fat people. I'd never say anything to offend anyone about their weight, so don't ****ing act like you know me. No, I do not blame McDonald's as their problem. I said I THINK OF IT, and all that other junk food people eat. Like pizza, and whatever. McDonald's isn't to blame, THEY are to blame. McDonald's doesn't shove the food down their throat.

Well, since I have a mental illness I don't see the harm in making the joke here. If you don't like the joke, that is your option. This is one way I'm dealing with my problems...with humor.

What mental illness do you have, JOOC? You have a good point, it's like Cousin Geri on the Facts of Life, being funny in spite of (or because of) her CP.

It's kind of funny (in an ironic way of course) about humor. When we watch Wile E. Coyote blow himself up with tons of dynamite or fall thousands of feet into the canyon and go KaPloomph on the ground, we laugh at that. When we think about that in real life, it's not. I think in humor we suspend a little bit of our ability to think in "real life."

Sanity is the playground for the unimaginative.
