Default I wondered

if anyone would even know "Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer". I think it is very cute.

I don't like Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" although I do like the song itself. The reason it turns me off is that at Christmas Bing was always even more abusive to his sons. Lindsey comitted suicide after playing that song as a statement that he's show his father. Too sad.

"Oh Holy Night" is a personal fave.

"Christmas Time Is Here" from the Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack is another one I love.

Actually, that is probably my favorite Christmas Album.

A relatively new song I like from an artist I hate is "Where Are You Christmas" by Faith Hill.

Ah yes, "Silver Bells" - a song that suburban malls have practically made obsolete!

"It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas" mentions kids named Barney and Ben and Janice and Jen. Alright, we know about Ben and Jen, so when are Barney and Janice going to get together?

Anyhoo, my top 14--
1)Sleigh Ride--Leroy Anderson Orchestra. The instrumental version is the best, especially the trumpets & trombones in the middle of the song. They kick ass!!
2)It's Christmas Time Again--Extreme
3)Because It's Christmas--Barry Manilow
4)Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24--Trans-Siberian Orchestra
5)All I Want for Christmas is You--Mariah Carey
6)Wonderful Christmastime--Paul McCartney
7)Heart Candy Christmas--Dolly Parton
8)12 Days of Christmas--The Muppets
9)Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas--Judy Garland's version is the best.
10)Jingle Bells--Barbra Streisand's version is another version that also kicks ass.
11)Step Into Christmas--Elton John
12)Silent Night--Mannhein Steamroller--This version is so haunting.
13)Something About Christmastime--Bryan Adams
14)Jingle Bell Rock--Hall & Oates

and it's not exactly a Christmas song but Barry Manilow does a song called "It's Just Another New Year's Eve", which I love.

Any version of Hark the Herald Angels Sing and Angels We Have Heard on High. I've always loved those 2 songs.

Now, I used to love John Lennon's "Happy Christmas(War Is Over)" and Wham's "Last Christmas", but I'm just hearing both songs way too much, and I guess I'm getting sick of them. Oh, and I am so over ANY VERSION of Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow AND Winter Wonderland!!!
Thought of a few more, but only because I heard them recently on the radio--
15)Where Are You Christmas?--Faith Hill
16)Celebrate Me Home--Kenny Loggins
17)Do They Know It's Christmas?--Bandaid
18)Same Old Lang Syne--Dan Fogelberg
19)Little Drummer Boy--Bing Crosby & David Bowie

Christmas Shoes seems to be a radio favorite and a frequently requested song, but to me, it's just too depressing. I turn it off when it comes on.
