Well, it obviously matters to those who are discussing it and to AKA, who created the thread. I don't call it bitching and complaining. I call it discussion in an open forum.

You did say that people are entitled to their opinions but followed that with....."but please, if you love the show as much as I do, stop bringing it down with your constant complaint for one season and enjoy and celebrate the ones you did like."

You said you were "fed up" and decided to "defend" the last season. It still sounds to me that you are having difficulty handling negative opinions on the last season.

There are lots of redundant topics discussed all over SitcomsOnline all the time. This one, in particular, obviously gets under your skin, as evidenced in your original post which clearly sounded like an admonishment.

Roseanne is still new to Nick@Nite, so there's a renewed interest in the show. The topics aren't redundant to me or the other newcomers to the show or this board.
Personally, Roseanne is new to me, so I want to know everything about the show, both positive and negative. If the show stumbled, fumbled or tumbled in the final season, I want to know why. The only way to find out the deal is to read these boards.
I doesn't matter to me is you think I'm "having difficulty handling negative opinions on the last season". I simply said that it is annoying to keep reading the same things over and over. If you are new to Roseanne and this board then read past threads and reply to them if you have an opinion.

And when I requested that if you "love the show as much as I do, stop bringing it down with your constant complaint for one season and enjoy and celebrate the ones you did like." I wasn't saying: No, you can't have opinions. That was a request. And when I asked "what does it matter?" I meant that every season had it's ups and downs so what does it matter that season 9 did.

It doesn't really matter anyway. We have contrasting opinions,it's not the end of the world.

I will like hell. Are you serious? You are actually telling me to read the old threads...with all the long gone people who posted? I, along with other members, replied to the CURRENT thread that AKA posted.

How about this? I do what I want, even if it's "annoying" to you.
That's my response to your request to stop discussing the final season, which, from what I've been reading here, not only jumped the shark--but the shark ate the cast and the set for good measure.

You can't just step in and make a request like that. These boards don't work that way. Request denied.

I didn't start the thread that got your shorts in a bunch.
Reply to past posts??? LOL, in your dreams. Call me silly, but I live in the here and now, and I don't like to read last year's newspaper.

REREAD your original post. You didn't "simply" say anything. You blew a gasket because you can't handle criticism of the final season. Own your words.

Normally when people bash the last season I just either keep my mouth shut or say something timid to defend it but I'm fed up.
Maybe you should have stuck with the keeping your mouth shut option. Your use of the "simply said" option came off like a bull in a china shop. Really now? Did you actually think that anyone would move aside at your behest to the netherworld of posts gone by? You're having a tough time reading posts that are unflattering about some 'in-the-can' episodes of Rosanne. So, consequently, posters should stop talking bad about Rosanne, and stop it immediately because you "simply" requested as much. Annnd....you are.....?

God, people! I just wrote my opinion. If you don't like it, ignore it. You are obviously upset by my comments or you wouldn't have replied. You can continue to write your objections to my opinion, actually you can start your own thread on it. Who cares? I'm moving on. You should too.

I don't have a problem with you stating your opinion. What bothered me was your suggestion that others stop talking about the final season.
Stop putting your words in my mouth and stop pretending you don't get it.

I liked the last season. I think of it as a different show but with the same characters. The show was always based on Roseanne's life. The early days showed what it was like for a small-town, blue-collar wife/mother using humor and family to cope with the struggles of surviving. The final season shows what happens when a regular small-town person suddenly comes into fame and fortune (whether it's by lottery or by a successful tv show)...Hollywood comes calling and some elements of society will resent your success and try to destroy you. Just like in Roseanne's real life.
