I love the "camping trip" show and also "the piano". Those are my favorite episodes. That "snakebite kit" joke makes me roll every time i hear it.

THE REVEREND SANFORD!!!

Esther (to Fred): You'd better not play with the Good Book, you ol' heathen, or the Lord will cast you into the fiery furnace.

Fred (to Esther): In that case, I'll also be available for exorcisms.

Lamont: A E I O U and sometimes Y!

Fred: All of you without sin.......go out and get some!

Fred: Brother against brother, sister against sister, Godzilla versus Gork.....Let us send the evil (and while looking at Esther) and the ugly away!

Default Yeah, I like the one where . . . .

. . . Fred becomes a minister also!!! LOL! I just had to crack up on the one they showed last night on TV Land where Fred's old girlfriend, Jaunita, shows up and they get into an argument. Fred starts pointing his finger at her and she says, "Fred Sanford, don't you point your finger at my nose!" And Fred replies, "This is my house and I'll point my finger at your nose and my foot somewhere else!!!" I also like that episode where the homeless guy camps out in their yard and when he is inside in the kitchen getting a drink of water while Fred is eating his danish at breakfast. The guy pats the danish with his hand and Fred doesn't want to eat it after that! Also, just about any "back and forth" between Ester and Fred makes it a memorable episode

Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

Default "I Want My Daddy's Records"

Another episode that I love is the one about the Blind Mellow Jelly records. Fred and Bubba are just hilarius. I like the scene when Fred and Bubba go back to the library to pull the Blind Mellow Jelly, Jr. stunt. It's funny when Fred gets into a little squabble with a guy trying to read something, as Fred & Bubba are talking and laughing all loud. Great stuff!

yeah, definitely the Blind mello jelly episode. that's the one that got me into S and S. My brother and I thought that was so funny because we collect old records and the premise was so silly. I like the way Lamont tries to sound more sophisticated on the phone with the record guy and Fred shows so class. I like the way they make fun of the guy in the record department in the library. The ending makes the whole thing come together, and when he's describing the records of Jelly in the beginning that funny too, like Shimmy shoo wop and it must be jelly cause jam don't shake like that!

Also the greatest episode of all time for me is the Engagement party when Fred whole family comes over. This is Classic S and S and even more Classic Esther, her funniest lines and performance. When she tells Woodrow "Woodrow, you came here with teeth!" That's like the funniest line I ever heard in a sitcom. It's the only episode where I've had a laughing fit, where I just kept laughing and couldn't stop until I wasn't in control of my body. You just sort of freeze up. that happens every time I see that. And then when he starts swinging that bat at the church ladies and Esther and the priest comes in and says "People are running away from here like there's a riot going on!"

My favorite episodes would have to be:

The Engagement: Lamont tries to stop Fred from marrying Donna so he invites his aunts to meet Donna. Favorite line from that episode: "Woodrow put that bottle down before I unscrew your wrist."

Mama's Baby Papa's Maybe: Big Money Grip comes to town to claim Lamont as his son. Classic!

The episode with the coffins, too funny!!!

The episode where Lamont is left at the altar.

The episode where Fred, Lamont and Rollo audition for the movie.
Classic Rollo!

The one where Lamont wants to change his name to reflect his African heritage. Nothing funnier that Fred getting rid of the pig!

The one where Fred makes onion stew, another classic Rollo episode.

I could go on, but think I'll stop here.

My fav episodes have to be

1. 25 - The Puerto Ricans Are Coming!
Fred is upset because his new neighbor is opening a competing junkyard; but he's beside himself when he learns the neighbor is Puerto Rican. Gregory Sierra guest stars. (classic)

2. 73 - Home Sweet Home
Greed gets in the way when a Japanese land development company offers to buy the Sanford house.

3.40 - Lamont As Othello
Fred returns home unexpectedly and finds Lamont and drama coach Marilyn in the choking scene of Othello. Maureen Arthur Guest stars

4. 79 - My Brother-in-Law's Keeper
Fred can't wait for his sister to come for a visit and introduce her new husband—but that's before he finds out the groom is white. Allen Drake Guest stars.

Wow! There are too many to name but a lot of people gave some good ones.

I liked

Rated X
The Piano Movers
Sandford and Son and the Sister Makes Three
The Three Degrees
Watts Side Story
Blind Mello Jelly Collection

The one where Esther and Fred get chained up together during one of Grady's tricks...that was hilarious!

Fred and Carol and Fred and Donna
Tooth or Consequences
Lamont Is that You?-especially when Fred tells Bubba don't smile at nobody.

I'll stop there! but there were many more!

My ten favorite episodes ever, which i could watch over and
over again---and already have done so!

1)" A House is Not a Poolroom"--so many funny moments
2) "The Party Crasher"--Fred at his most undeniably charming
Rollo's character in this alone is worth it!
3)"Sanford and Rising Son"-Pat Morita was a great support
4)"Mama' baby, papa's maybe"-The acting by LaWanda Page--
comic genius!!("I don't want to hear anymore of this!")
5)"Card Sharps" - great showcase for Redd and great ending
6) "coffins for sale"-an early classic. "Melvin"'s underrated!
7) "sanford and son and sister makes three"-so much material
packed into one episode---the dialogue is awesome
8)"blind mellow jelly"--what hasn't already been said?
9) "Fred's treasure garden"-I really like all the Grady episodes,
but this is the standout among Whitman Mayo's portrayals.
When Grady goes outside to get that wild parsley--!!!!
10)"the Piano Movers"--Season One's last episode--the show
and its stars were in top form now, and would continue!

Every episode of the 3rd season. (Only season I've seen. I'm buying the other seasons later when I get some cash.)
