I don't think they should add a 2nd Soap Channel until they can get their current channel on everyone's basic cable plan... right now I can only get SoapNET if I have digital cable... blech!!!

I'd love if they did that! I hope they one day add reruns of The Edge of Night, Santa Barbara, & Loving - or maybe even Capitol or Search for Tomorrow. I'm excited about Dallas coming, especially since it's SOAPnet premire is only a few days away. I'm also glad that Dynasty is going to be going back to season 1 soon, since I've been looking forward to it for awhile also. [Season 8 was just...blech. Season 9 is pretty good though.]

I wonder if/when there is going to be a SOAPnet 2. From the articles I've read, it seems like Disney is considering doing this since SOAPnet has been doing pretty well in it's main demos.

If there is a Soap Net 2, do you think the cable companies that don't have SoapNET on their current basic cable packages would finally be convinced and add it to the schedules? I hoooope!

And if they did add a Soap Net 2, I think it would be worth it to buy digital cable just to get those two channels. Then I'd be able to tape all the old soaps.

The only ones I'm watching now are All My Children and The Bold And The Beautiful...
