Speak: It's funny and sad. It's a page turner

Go Ask Alice: It's a diary of a teen girl, who has a drug problem, it's very interesting!

Harry Potter Books: It's fun to get away from reality once in awhile, and I am really into magic and stuff. It fascinates me...

Ten Little Indians: It's probably the best myster novel! Keeps you guessing til the end...

A Painted House: It's about a little boy who lives on a cotton picking farm, and it's filled with excitement.

Angela's Ashes- It's a very amazing book. It's almost unbelievable the things this guy goes through, like intense poverty. THe really remarkable thing is the fact that it's all true, though.

Number the Stars- I am not sure why I love this book. I just always have.

The Personality Puzzle by Florence and Marita Littauer

Why? I love the humor and it is so true! I enjoy reading books that enable me to get to know people and different personalities and if anyone, like myself, likes to do the same, this is the book for you!

To Kill A Mocking Bird- i think that was the only book i liked that was required for school.

I was just about to start a similar thread until I found this.

Stephen King books

Cujo: The first book I read from this author. I liked it but I wouldn't call it one of his best works

Nightmares and Dreamscapes: One of his best short story compilations IMO.

Skeleton Crew: Also one of his best short story compilations. One of three I have read and liked.

Night Shift: One of my personal favorites and has the same format as SC and N&D.

The Tommyknockers: Long but worth it. Very interesting and unique story.

It: Possibly my favorite King book of all time.

Desperation: I sort of liked it but it left a lot to be desired.

Pet Sematary: This one kept my eyes glued to the book. Powerful.

Michael Crichton

The Andromeda Strain: Very intriguing story.

Sphere: This was the first book I read from this author and I didn't really understand it. I still liked it.

There are a whole lot of other books I would like to read and when I do read them, I'll post my thoughts of them on this thread.

To Kill a Mockingbird-I love the message. And you have to admire Atticus, for being willing to defend Tom even though he knew it was useless.
The Catcher in the Rye-I'm surprised I'm the first to name this one! I love that you get the feeling that Holden's actually telling you the story.
A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving-One of my all-time fave books. A real tear-jerker, and it also made me think a lot about my faith and stuff.
The Great Gatsby-For some reason I just loved the world of the '20's and Gatsby's weath and his obsession with Daisy LOL I'm a hopless romantic!

I'm very fond of "The Chronicles of Narnia," and I really enjoyed the "Harry Potter" books.
