The only time I've heard of murder going on so prevalently in another genre of music was in the Norwegian black metal, such as when Oystein Aarseth (AKA Euronymous) of Mayhem was stabbed to death by Varg Vikernes (AKA Count Grishnachkh) of Burzum in 1993, among other criminal acts. It makes you wonder...
P Diddy (isn't that the most stupid name you've ever heard!?) and Snoop were never in NWA. NWA comprised of Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, MC Ren, Eazy-E and Ice Cube.
I was actually gonna mention the Count Grishnachkh incident in my previous post but I didn't think it was worth getting into cos I figured noone in America would know about all that.
It's true that rock music has had it's fair share of fall-outs, fights and disagreements but seldom do they ever turn into murder enquireys. Why should the rap scene be any different?
You're right - it does make you wonder......

That's right, I forgot who exactly was in N.W.A. I remember reading about Count G. and Euronymous about 10 years ago, there were church burnings and all this crap going on by a bunch of oh-so-evil Satanic death-metal wannabes... Why do rappers need to prove their testicular superiority with a GUN??
Pretty soon all the scene will be gone and vanished because they'll all be DEAD..... They practically don't have a rap scene in Seattle with clubs and all because there's been too much violence when they did try to have shows...

Well, my theory and my understanding of it is, rappers were raised in the ghetto and they were around a lot of guns and violence and they still havent totally gotten away from it....a lot of them have friends and family they've seen get shot when they were kids. Now that they have made it out of the "hood" I guess they think they have to brag about what they have now, and who's better than who, since they use to not have it a lot I guess.

U know what rapper i can't stand right now that brags too much about what he has? Baby of Big Tymers with Cash Money records. Every song he's always talkin about how much platinum jewelry he got & how many cars he has. Who cares LOL. I do like his song What Happened To That Boy with Clipse. That birdcall in the song is funny LOL.
