That autorgraph convention kicked off my vacation, and what a weekend that was! The highlight for me of course was meeting lovely Dawn Wells, still a babe at 63 years young. On the first day of the show, I bought a gorgeous B&W photo of her with her hair worn long (deep sigh) as well as an X-Large "Ultimate Dilemma" shirt and matching mousepad. She signed the photo, and I had my photo taken with her (which I will post once I get it developed, maybe later today). I wore the shirt the following day and she gave me a big smile and a "thumbs up" gesture. I also mentioned to her that my favorite part of the "Surviving Gilligan's Island" documentary movie was seeing her finally get top billing in the opening credits, to which Dawn (flashing that lovely smile of hers) replied: "Much better than 'the rest', right?"

Is this a heavenly way to start a vacay or what?

yes, yes....Fleet...i must say, Dawn is not the only good looking one in that picture.

Nashville/San Fernando Valley... same thing.

Actually, some country singers grew up in the S.F. Valley- one I remember is Kenny Rogers, and his family was far from being rich. He sure went from rags to riches.

Dawn is able to look at this site if she wants to. I gave her copies of a few G.I. threads and this website's address is on them. So, we will see. I sure hope she visits here!
