One of my favorite episode with a whole bunch of scenes that are funny is the episode "The Blind Mellow Jelly Collection" where Fred and Lamont donate the records at the library. I like the exchange in the library where the librarian says,"What Do We Have Here???" and Fred says,"That's my son, that's who we have here. Also when Fred asks him I thought that librarians were always women, and the guy says, not always. And Fred tells Lamont that maybe he was a --waves his hands-- . And when the librarian tells him who his name was,Archibald,Fred says,"You Can Say That Again". And the librarian was listening to the music on the headphones, Fred said to Lamont he couldn't hear us through those headphones, and Fred said, "Personally, I think you're a fruitcake", and then the librarian says, "Marvellious!!!"

Which gets us to the two funny parts when Fred and Bubba go to the library and Bubba is disguised to be Blind Mellow Jelly's son and he says "I Want My Daddy's Records". A near funny moment was when they get back and then Fred hands Bubba both boxes of the records and nearly drops then. The funniest moment was when they get on the truck and Bubba says that he forgot to put them on the truck, and Lamont says,"I Have To Do Everything Myself" and then when the truck backs up you can hear the records breaking and everything. The last part was when Fred had the last record and Fred sits on it. Hilarious episode from beginning to end!!!

In the same episode, I liked when Lamont deepens his voice to make the story sound good and he says that they found them in The Sanford Family Archives: Here's some of the exchange.

Fred: Where did you say you found them???
Lamont:--in a lowered voice--:In the archives.
Fred:--thinking--:Is that anything like a closet???

How about when Lamont fulfills "dying" Fred's request by setting him up with Lena Horne

Lamont: You ready for Lena Horne?

Fred (in tux and toupee): Yeah, I'm ready!

Lamont: You REALLY ready?

Fred: Yeah!

Lamont: Okay, then! (He opens up the door, and Ladies & Gentlemen: Aunt Esther! Only one person in the audience had jumped the gun by clapping his hands as Lamont opens the door)

Aunt Esther: Hello, sucka!

Fred: This ain't my Lena, it's somebody's hyenna! (He turns and shuffles back upstairs)

In the very last episode, that I just saw a few days back, Esther was wondering why Fred was going out every night (he was really going to night school) and suspected that he was seeing a woman. She asks him "Who is she?" and it came out fast like "Whooshee" and it sounded like a sneeze!! Fred says "God bless you!" to that.......Too funny!! And when Fred tells the war story to his step-grandson, and Fred was in a bar during the war, and he hears a beautiful voice coming from the top of the stairs in the bar, and the singer was really Esther!! When Fred sees this, he has his classic grossed out look on his face!!

Talking Sooo Funny

The episode where Aunt Esther and Fred are handcuffed together was a classic. Especially when Esther asked,
"I want some butter on my end", then Fred answers,
" What do you want on your corn".
God I'm laughing just thinking about it

Oh Jesus- way too many to list, but one that ALWAYS makes me laugh, no matter how many times I see it is the one where Fred invites the door-to-door sales lady over for dinner & Donna shows up the same night! The look on Fred's face as she's walking in! KILLS me! His eyes bulge & his mouth is wide open!

Talking Another funny episode

The episode called Coffins For Sale is a hilarious episode. I like the scene where Lamont asks "Hey pop you asleep" Then Fred replies " No I'm just checking my eyelids for cracks"

One (of dozens) funny line Rollo said to Lamont was when he had tickets to some porno movie & Lamont refused to go & Rollo goes- "You don't wanna see this skin flick?? On a Saturday *night*?! Is you a Fool?!" The way he wraps it up w/ 'Is you a fool?!' always kills me!

To Tyler77
a funny scene from the episode when fred is telling his grandson war stories is when he and lamont are captured by germans. The german says to fred "The feurer sends his greetings, Heil hitler"
then fred replies, "And Sammy Davis jr sends his" and starts dancing and falls on lamont, it looked ad libed and on the spot, hillarious
