Can someone explain the crossover episode between Different Strokes and Silver Spoons - Page 2 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I do have the episode

Arnold was doing a story for the PS-406. They had went into secret government files. Ricky and Arnold had accessed the planes for a new Air Force Jet. The FBI came down and they ran away to live on a ship.

I'm not explaining this right but it was not a ratings booster because Silver Spoons was always in the top 10 of Saturday Night TV because of it's lead in at the time which was Diff'rent Strokes.

I just received that episode in the mail and the crossover made no since at all

Because Arnold was not a school reporter on different strokes during 82-83 season so it was a huge Inconsistency.
