Well, I went to a catholic school until I got to high school , and now I go to a public school.....um yeah you don't know ghetto until you go to an OUTDOOR public school (schools are outdoor in california, and I'm guessing in warm year round climates, like arizona and florida but im not sure :\ ).......anyway we dont have lockers cause when we had them like 20 yrs ago they got vandalized and stuff so now we just carry around backpacks with all of our books and supplies in them. we dont have a cafeteria; we just eat in the quad and there are carts to buy food from....and the halls and corridors are outside and the actual classROOMS are inside..... I don't know, I think all public schools have a somewhat ghetto tendency because I live in expensive neighborhood with people who take good care of their yards and stuff and all the schools here are ghetto

Our school is preps with a handful of slacker/punks, ghetto kids, and the weird people [me]. But I love our school.

I was yet again reminded of it today when we were skating in gym and they were playing music over the gym speaker...unedited emiem. Yes. With all the "**** him and **** you too" and sh'it like that. Our teachers didn't even flinch like "Oh my! Bad words!" Noooo they don't care. Morons.

Our school is old and crap-like and they're adding on an addition that doesn't match and..ugh. Our lockers our yellow, but the lockers in the new part are grey with one maroon locker at the end of the rows....so stupid.

Your turn.
You guys skate in your gym?! That would be awsome. Well, my school's pretty good, actually. It's only four years old, so it's really new, especially in comparison to some other schools in the area. I'm so glad we have lockers though...even though I share with three other people. In case you're wondering why I share with three other people, we have to share with one other person, but they screwed up between me and my friend and two of my other friends. At least I'm sharing with all friends though, right?

Yep. You'd think it would be...but our gym is like kinda small and we just go around in a circle for 50 minutes...it's boring as crap.

We go on field trip type things for PE sometimes, like we'll go bowling or to the ice skating rink...stuff like that. It's fun.

welllll....for any of you who have read "the lovely bones" or anything by that author- she went to my high school.
We really do have glass walls to the classrooms and hallways like she describes in her books. One of the glass hallways is boardeed up cause it has bullet holes from the 70s in it.

my schools ghetto-ness is mostly in its past. it was pretty crazy in the 70s and 80s....one yr for a senior prank these kids dug up a corpse and put it on the flagpole.
:: shivers :: ew.

At my old high school, we had these ancient computers in the library. I mean, they were like the original Macs. You know, those little Macs where everything was in black and white? Anyways, I remember standing in line for my lunch one fine afternoon, and right there where you slide your tray was a giant cockroach. Yeah, that was nice to see around our food. Then there was the time that a mouse ran across the floor in the middle of gym class. Then there were the bathrooms... no stalls! Well, the girls had stalls, but the guys didn't have any. All the lights had tons and tons of dead flies in them. But hey, we have a brand new astroturf stadium! It's just what we needed as the rest of the school is slowly falling down on its students!

Oh dear, I've had a few teachers that did that too. I totally forgot about having to do that.
