That's an awesome idea about Huntress fighting her own mother. I like the show, but they have so many ideas that they could use and make the show even better.

This show can really be something and they should do it while they are still on air! They could bring Bruce back with Selena!! That could be why Batman left he knew Selena/Catwoman was alive and was helping her get better. Then Helena wouldn't be so pissed off at her father.

My 1500 post!!

My 1500 post!!
Congrats on the 1500 posts.

They could do that. They could bring Bruce and Selena into the show. I know they prob. just want it to be a whole new Batman project, and you don't have to have Batman in every episode. They could just have Batman related plots every once in awhile.

Sad

Well the ratings are down again. Here are the ratings from Birds of Preys offical website:

Birds of Prey : Sweeps - Week Two
-- Friday November 15th, 2002

Did you watch Birds of Prey last night? Fast national overnight data from last night is available and the ratings show that the numbers have hit a series low. The all-new episode, 'Primal Scream', brought in a 3.8/5, down considerably from last week's 4.1/6, which skated by as a success. Continually dropping ratings may lead to the cancellation of the series, if the numbers don't climb.

Thanks for posting that Silver Daze. From the look of it, it doesn't look like it will be picked up for a season 2. They might make one last chance to save it. You know the lead in show is Dawson's Creek. DC isn't as popular now as it was before, so if they move BOP to another night- it might help a bit....

I was thinking they could move it to Sundays at either 8 or 9 because then the lead in show would be Charmed or Angel. Those shows are popular and get good ratings. If I get any more news about BOP I will post it here.

The WB will begin re running the episodes starting December 4th with Slick.

Next week on Birds of Prey:

Split Nov-20-2002
Already frustrated with men thanks to her relationship with Det. Reese, Helena is none too pleased when a metahuman calling himself Darkstrike visits New Gotham to team up with her and Barbara. However, Helena warms to the enigmatic stranger when he explains his history with the Crawler---a nefarious criminal with the nasty habit of murdering his abductees. When the fiend kidnaps an innocent teen, the crimefighters must race against the clock to ensure that the latest victim doesn't meet the fate of her predecessors.

I have every episode the WB aired of BOP on tape. I really got into it. Here is a petition online to try to save BOP. I have already sign, but I don't know if they work or not. Just thought I pass it along.

I just read in the New York Daily News that BOP will be officially cancelled by the end of this week.

In some cases they do. I'm not sure if you ever watched the tv show 'The Magnificent Seven'. It came on in 1998, I believe. They were gonna cancel that, but somebody started passing around petitions to keep it on the air. It did work somewhat. They kept it around for awhile longer, but it didn't last too much longer. If we get enough sigs on the petition to just give it another chance to bring in more viewers, we might succeed in keeping it on the air longer.

I want everybody to take a long look at another show, "The Facts of Life". It got off to a very rocky 1st season. They didn't scrap it immediately. They picked it up for a 2nd season, but luckily the writers knew they had to do something to get the viewers to tune in. If the writers of BOP want this show to scrape by, they better bring in some very powerful storylines.

I wonder if that would be on their website? I'll try to find the article and post it here. It's kind of sad if they do cancel it without giving it another chance. Look at all the shows that had a rocky first season, but really started hitting them out of the park when they were on solid landing. I just looked on the News website and didn't see anything there. It must've been a short article.

I hope they do have sense and keep it on for awhile longer.
