Even though Chris Mann's book about TC states that The Ropers was #25, this is not so...at least it doesn't appear to be so from the ratings I've seen. These were the top 30 ratings for the 1979-1980 season:
#01: "60 Minutes" (CBS) #02: "Three's Company" (ABC) #03: "That's Incredible!" (ABC) #04: "Alice" (CBS #05: "M*A*S*H" (CBS) #06: "Dallas" (CBS) #07: "Flo" (CBS) #08: "The Jeffersons" (CBS) #09: "The Dukes of Hazzard" (CBS) #10: "One Day at a Time" (CBS) #11: "Archie Bunker's Place" (CBS) #12: "Eight is Enough" (ABC) #13: "Taxi" (ABC) #14: "House Calls" (CBS) #15: "Real People" (NBC) #16: "Little House on the Prairie" (NBC) #17: "Happy Days" (ABC) #18: "CHiPs" (NBC) #19: "Trapper John, M.D." (CBS) #20: "Charlie's Angels" (ABC) #21: "Barney Miller" (ABC) #22: "WKRP in Cincinnati" (CBS) #23: "Benson" (ABC) #24: "The Love Boat" (ABC) #25: "Soap" (ABC) #26: "Diff'rent Strokes" (NBC) #27: "Mork & Mindy" (ABC) #28: "Fantasy Island" (ABC) #29: "Tenspeed and Brown Shoe" (ABC) #30: "ABC Sunday Night Movie" (ABC) #31: "Vega$" (ABC) #32: "Knots Landing" (CBS) Source: http://www.chez.com/fbibler/tvstats/...1975-1980.html |
