Hello, in my mind i have a scene from an american sitcom's episode where in a scene an actress (unluckly i don't remember who) to trick someone disguise herself as a man (similar to a gangster of 30's dressing suit tie fedora hat and fake moustache).
Anybody remind this scene and so can tell me the name of the sitcom? Thanks P.S.:it's not alice (with linda lavin) or i love lucy. |

I'm not really sure about this so I'll take a wild guess.
I'm positive that it wasn't Maude, but then again she wouldn't have needed the disguise. My favourite episode from Season 2 of The Monkees was called "Some Like It Lukewarm". The Monkees enter a talent contest in which one of the conditions is that all bands who enter have to have at least one male and one female in it. This presents a problem for the all-male Monkees, so Davy has to dress up as a woman. At the same time, their biggest competitors are an all-girl band, so one of their members has to dress as a man. The actress who played this part was Deana Martin, the lovely daughter of Dean Martin. This is what she looked like in disguise:

I believe Fran Drescher did this on "The Nanny" in the episode "The Stock Tip" from season 2.

Yep! I saw that one not too long ago! Also Lucy and Ethel dressed like men in an ep., Alice Hyatt also did and Roseanne did but not in a suit, she dressed like a lumberjack in a Halloween ep.!

Than I think you would be going more on the line of Alice. She was dressed as a sterotyped mafia mobster type of guy , like back in rhe Al Capone days!!

Alice Hyatt did in an episode of "Alice." Dressed up as a mafia-style man to scare the (temporary) new owner of Mel's diner.
