BLAH...Don't you just love this learning experience? I don't have to respond quite as much as you do, thank goodness, but we are given four or five essay questions per book and they are due the first day of school. BLAHness.

I don't have any. Only Honors classes have to read over the summer and I'm not in honors.

Good Luck on Moby Dick. I had to watch the movie in Lit class my Junior year. The movie kind of put everybody to sleep. Hey, you just may like the book though. I never read it. If I had to read it for a class, I would probably go into spark notes and download notes for it. Seriously, good luck w/ it and TGG.

Chris, what did you think of "The Great Gatsby?" I'm going into my Junior year next year...blah, that means reading midevil books all year long. I'm not looking forward to English, but hopefully I will be proven wrong...?

ks
Eh, it was written in the mid 20's while Fitzgerald was in France. He was a drunk and he slept around a lot but one thing he did good was write. The only thing is that his writing is really hard to understand. He can't write dialogue between two people very well. His writing is like poetry. Each word has a meaning and sometimes it's so hard to understand. And the ending is really werid, but I want you to find out yourself. Good luck, like Jenny said. It's a hell of a book.

i read Summer Sisters, by Judy Blume over the weekend. I'm gonna read it over the summer, again. It's a reeeaaaly good book. It's long, but you just fly right by it. I couldn't put it down. I really recommend it.

Well the county ahs this bright idea of having every grade read a book during the summer break. The lower grades only have to read one. But the people who are going into highs chool (like me) have ot read two books. I am reading The Client and Pride and Predjudice (BLAH) I am not sure if they will ask us anything aout the books on the first day of school, but at least I don't have to do any essays on it-thank God!!!!!

For my AP history class I have to read A People's History of the Untited States. It's a giant book, 662 pages to be exact, but we only have to read 5 chapters.

I read waaaaaaay more than 24 books this year. I had like 10 on my list each quarter. But that was only because I read big books.
