TVFactFan, my advice to you about dating is stay away from black women hahahahahahahahahahaha. Get a white woman. I hate black women because of their nasty attitude. I just watched a video on Youtube of a white woman speaking about why black men are dating white women and she spoke the truth about black women's bad behavior. Let black women tell it, it's always black men's fault that black women don't stay with them LOL. They wonder why so many black kids don't have fathers.

Here's the bottom line: A person MUST decide why it is that they are dating in the first place. Is it for sex only? Is it to get married? Is it to find a father for their child? Is it for financial stability? Unless it's for financial stability you MUST tell the person as soon as possible what your intentions are so that she doesn't waste her time and you don't waste yours. The time you spend building a "friendship" with a woman would be better spent finding a lover if that's why you are seeing her in the first place.

I hated online dating. I was dating to find a husband (though I wanted him to be a boyfriend first) and failed. The guys I liked never liked me and I was attracting losers. I gave up and started searching offline. Met a guy I became fiends with who lives by me (we met through mutual friends)but as of now we are just friends because he is dealing with issues. No idea if it'll be more but it's better than only online. We aren't friends with benefits, just friends. I'm not sure why I attracted losers online, I'm pretty, educated, thin, and childless yet all I attracted were the opposite.

Cleverfun3000, I'm surprised you don't have nothing funny to say about black women because you usually diss them LOL. I don't trust black women because all they care about is how much money black men can give them and what can black men buy them hahahahahahahahahahaha. I don't really trust white women either but I'd rather have a white woman than a black woman. Most women no matter what their race is only care about how much money men got and what kind of cars men got. Dating is a joke because men and women can't be trusted. When men get a good woman, they'll cheat on her because men feel like they gotta get sex often. When women don't give them sex when they want it, men will cheat. That's just the way it is. Sex and money are the only 2 things that matter in relationships because most men and women don't love each other LOL.

Not all women only care about money. I don't care whether he has money or what car he drives.

Me either! I was never one to care a lot about what material things a man could give me! I'm an older woman and things were simpler back in the day for meeting and dating before the internet dating came along. The only blind dates were if a friend fixed you up with someone she knew or something. It just seemed like it was easier to find somebody you liked and who liked you. And us girls weren't nearly as gold digger-ish as they are now it seems. I mean some were of course , but not every day regular women.

I sometimes wonder God forbid if something were to happen to my husband or if he left me or something and I did want to meet another man how it would go? I'm so out of the dating scene for years! LOL!!!

I want to be out of dating but can't seem to find anyone. I met the man of my dreams but for now he doesn't want anything (or I don't think he does)because he's dealing with some issues. We are friends though. I met him through people (he lives a few blocks away). I tried online and all I met were liars, guys not fitting my requirements and men I didn't connect with.

As a guy, I totally in agreement with basically giving the world to a woman. But, I think a woman shouldnt sell themselves short. I think its great you dont care about material things and believe me, that's a woman that I like. But, women do sometimes deserve the world, you know? I mean if a woman has been crapped on for whatever reason her whole life, than I think its ok to give her some material things. She deserves it.

I am sorry things did not work out with you and your date. I have been in that situation plenty of times. I have been dating guys since I was 14 years old and now I am 45 years old. I have never been married and probably never will be. I have actually been in your position before and also the position of the person that just wants to be friends many of times. I really think when it comes to a relationship and potential marriage you have to be 100% sure that this is what you want in a partner. If you get that vibe that it is not the one then there really should be no reason to pursue it. When I was in my late teens and twenties I found myself just hanging onto a relationship for the pure enjoyment of sex. Now I think I have grown up some although I still enjoy sex a lot, but have common sense to not do it if I know the guy isn't someone I really want to be with for the long haul.

I would hope so because sex is only a temporary activity. Actually being with someone is ongoing lol

Yes it certainly is. I also seem to have a fear of commitment issues. I have had long term relationships in the past as recently as in my late 30's, but when it came down to possible marriage I was ready for splitsville.

No, Isiahthomas, I don't "diss" black women - I always respond when YOU diss back women. I believe that women act not according to their race, but according to their own individual character - just like men do.

I dont think I'm in a hurry to get married either Lissa. I think while its good to be married there are times where its tough. And to me, the tough stuff outweigh the good stuff.

Question

Then there are these stories: I had been chatting on OkCupid with this guy. I wasn't excited about him but keep my options open. On the site he kept asking for my Facebook page but I told him I don't give my page to anyone I've never met. Long story short, he got my photo from OKC and Googled to find my FB page and tried to friend me after I told him I wouldn't friend him. I then told him I met someone and wanted to have a relationship with them. This is true, I met a guy near me through friends but as of now we are just friends. The guy started getting freaky, pulling the poor me card. I removed photos from all my dating sites and Facebook and my Facebook photo is of a popular long running animated comedy. I deleted most of my dating profiles except the ones connected to forums or quizzes (like OKC)and those I kept state I'm only there for forums or quizzes. Yesterday I got another friend request from him, I deleted and he immediately tried to friend me again. I've had many guys like him who wouldn't leave me alone but luckily the others never found my Facebook page. I haven't spoken to him in over a year.

Honestly, if things don't work out with the guy I like I'll never try online again. As a never married, childless religious person, I strongly seek someone like that (especially the childless part, I will not bend on that). Yet the majority of the men who contacted me had kids (my profile clearly stated childless only), or were perverted. I actually had men with multiple illegitimate kids by different women complain I'd ignore them but why would I consider them? I'd have non religious or people with vastly different religious views contact me then attack my views. The dads were the worst, I'd get threatened and called every name. All the effort spent on harassing me could have gone to looking for someone into them.
