If the quality of the discs themselves are equal, sure I will buy the cheaper one.
I don't need to have a fancy box, the goal for me is to have the episodes. And I still am amazed how much I spent in the 1980s on VHS tapes (both blank and bought shows/movies). Not to mention buying the ENTIRE season by season of shows like Dallas (which never had a complete set) In fact, having a shoe box filled with my favorite shows in sleeves is even more convienient than the larger boxes. |

The region 2 dvd has pretty nice packaging. The series comes in a cardboard box but each season is in two plastic cases, making it 4 discs per season and 20 discs for the complete series. The dvds are easy to access and have individual pictures on each box so it is more interesting to look at than the individual season boxes. I recently bought the region 2 box set and it plays on my region 4 dvd and xbox so that doesn't seem to be a problem. For US customers the new packaging, not the cardboard bottle and accordion disc holder, is similar to the European one. Region 4 has a set that is also a cardboard box but inside that box is just the individual seasons, no different packaging.
