I just found out that special will only be one hour long. From 8p-9p. I hope that that is a mistake. If it isn't, why do I have the feeling that both episodes will be edited for time?

I think that's correct. But I can't imagine they would broadcast the shows unedited when they're trying to sell DVDs. What would be the point of buying the DVDs? The DVDs will be released November 5 and will have three episodes and should be complete and unedited.
