She is told to dust the furniture and she goes and puts dusting powder on the furniture

She is told to draw the drapes, so she draws them on some paper

She is told to dress the chicken for dinner, so she finds clothes to put on it

I love the Amelia Bedelia books

(When reading a recipe) Put in some dates. (Cuts up a calander and throws in the dates)
