After seeing what a fantastic job MPI has done, I agree that it would have been nice had they released this show from the beginning. Then we would have had nicer cover art and consistent packaging on the first 3 seasons.
Better late than never though, and this is definitely my favorite DVD set I've bought all year. I can hardly wait for S5! |

I really hope after season 5 is released MPI and Mary Owen would go back to season 1, 2, and 3 and start over. MPI has done a wonderful job with a boatload of special features, all uncut episodes, and the picture quality/sound is excellent compared to the earlier seasons released by Arts Alliance America/Virgil. I liked how MPI even show the screen gem logo at the end of the episodes making it more complete for the fans instead of abruptly cut off like for example season 1. |

I doubt we will see a re-release of S1-3. The bigger question is whether or not Sony will eventually let S6-8 out of the vaults for a price that MPI can afford. I know they have not done business together before but I cannot see the point in Sony hoarding around 100 B&W sitcom episodes they have no plans in releasing themselves or even syndicating.
Here are more screenshots I just uploaded to my site (the rest of the site is down for maintenance right now). More Season 4 screen captures. |

I'm not interested to have DVD's, but if Antenna TV or Me-TV would air this series I'd probably tune in now and then.

I must say I am really enjoying season 4, especially since they are all first viewings for me, MPI did an excellent job, so please support the release so we difinately get season 5 in 2012.
I am currently at disc 2 episode 6, so of the 14 episodes I watched so far, each disc contained one absolutely complete episode including sponsor billboard, original commercials, next week sponsor bumber and ABC production logo at end. You can't get more complete than that! I loved the extras and of course the best seeing Paul and Shelley together, I have loved Shelley since discovering her on "One Day At A Time", I also have always loved Sandra Dee and loved the story from Paul teasing Shelley "CCOSD". After being a fan of Shelley's for years, I finally got an additional answer as to why? Now for you experts, since I am not that familiar with the show, it's production or history. In season 4, the living room set is obviously "The Jeannie House", when both seasons were in production, did Donna move and how was Shelley's absence starting in season 6 explained? |
