I remember both candy cigarettes and chocolate cigarettes, chocolate inside the paper taking the place of tobacco. I had a fake cigarette that had a fake lit butt at the end. I must have been cool.

I remember getting the white cigarette candy packs sometimes.
Other favorites: Mars Almond Bar, Willy Wonka Oompas, Munch Bar (like peanut brittle), Wayne Bun (peanut clusters), and Mr. Freeze (liquid freezer sticks). In the early '70s, my dad had a few stacks of Kennedy half dollars on his dresser, as he was collecting them. I'd steal one every once in a while and secretly buy candy when I told my parents I'd just be out "riding my bike...!" |
