I remember both candy cigarettes and chocolate cigarettes, chocolate inside the paper taking the place of tobacco. I had a fake cigarette that had a fake lit butt at the end. I must have been cool.

I don't recall chocolate cigarettes but I remember bubble gum cigs. (gum in place of the tobacco) . How times have changed! These days smoking is so banned, and back than encouraging kids to walk around with a pack of cigarettes, even if it was just candy! I remember Dad giving me money to go down to the corner store and buy him cigarettes! He smoked Pall Mall reds. Non filters. STRONG cigarette!!

I remember getting the white cigarette candy packs sometimes.

Other favorites: Mars Almond Bar, Willy Wonka Oompas, Munch Bar (like peanut brittle), Wayne Bun (peanut clusters), and Mr. Freeze (liquid freezer sticks).

In the early '70s, my dad had a few stacks of Kennedy half dollars on his dresser, as he was collecting them. I'd steal one every once in a while and secretly buy candy when I told my parents I'd just be out "riding my bike...!"
