Les we forget that Sherwood's original plan at some point was to have Carol pregnant--with fraternal twins! so the joke with Carol leading the family on into thinking she was pregnant with the Cousin Oliver moves in episode (ironically the second Cousin Oliver episode filmed!) was a nod to Sherwood's initial idea.
