I've heard that Eve was always extremely jealous of Maureen's popularity and looks, there were even times when Eve would have one of her boyfriends visit the set and Maureen, always being the flirt, would strut around in a short skirt. Then there was their crush on Chris, which I don't think is still an issue today (both women are happily married and have kids of their own) but back then both of them were fighting for his attention. Of course, Eve won out. It was only fair being that Maureen was already shagging Barry Williams. I even read that when the kids had their singing group, Eve really grew resentful of Maureen allegedly because Maureen was being paid more money and was being given special treatment and had a huge ego about the whole thing. From that point on, Eve and Maureen were barely even on speaking terms, which might be the reason why during the final season you could really feel the tension between them during their scenes together. Then when "The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" was on, Eve decided not to take part in it (smart move, Eve) because partially she was filming a TV movie and because she didn't want to be associated with her character or "The Brady Bunch"...but mostly, she wanted nothing to do with Maureen. Even during "The Brady Brides", which Eve did take part in mostly for the money, the two of them were constantly at odds with each other. By "A Very Brady Christmas", if you notice both of them are barely even in the same room with each other in the movie, because Eve and Maureen were not speaking at all. I think, even now, Eve has always been resentful of all the attention aimed at Maureen, even thougn Eve is a much better actress (and at least in my opinion far more attractive) and you can sort of understand that because Eve had to spend years of her adolescence playing second fiddle and her character, Jan, was always being portrayed as a loser, while Marcia was the "pretty" and "popular" one who always got the guy and was an overachiever. You just knew that the "My Sister's Shadow" episode hit very close to Eve, because when she was saying "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!!" she was really upset and she really wanted to say "Maureen, Maureen, Maureen!!" then she almost lost it when she said "I'm tired of being in Marcia's shadow all the time!!" and she flubbed her line, you knew she sort of broke character. I never really liked Maureen/Marcia while watching the show, because she was always too prissy and stuck up, nor did I ever see why guys thought she was such a knockout. I always loved Jan because as geeky as she was in the earlier seasons, there was always something very beautiful about her and she was more relatable. Now, Maureen's going around spilling secrets not only about herself, but about her castmates and I here she really goes to town on Eve, talking about her attempted trysts with Chris Knight and other really private stuff (nothing about the alleged "lesbian" thing). Lastly, I really can't blame Eve for being angered by Maureen saying she had a thing for her, which started all these rumors to begin with, because she never really came out and corrected it afterwards. Face it, Maureen's just a publicity hound who craves attention now that you have Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan dominating the headlines.
I must say I agree with what you had to say. I also liked the Jan character much better and thought she was prettier then Marcia. I was always envious of Eve's beautiful hair, especially in her middle teens when she let it hang and it was curly in the back. Very beautiful and natural looking.

I'll see what I can do to help them make up. I will invite them both to dinner at my house, each not knowing that the other is also coming. Hopefully when they see each other, they will remember their friendship and reconcile.

I'd watch that! Over and over!

Eve strikes me as being very uptight. She clearly disdains Brady Bunch fans and doesn't want to be reminded of her past as Jan. However, this has not stopped her from collecting a paycheck from any of the revival shows, TV movies or cast reunion shows when the opportunity arises.

However, she did turn down The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, so she gets points for that.

EP needs to get a grip. I feel with her regarding being PO w/ MM over her comment, but she needs to get over herself and move on with her life.

She does seem to be on a high horse when it comes to TBB and its wide legion of fans. I DID enjoy Eve as a novice nun (!) in the Irwin Allen flick The Night the Bridge Fell Down - she did a good job there. I've also seen her artwork on her web site - beautiful paintings! It's a shame she seems to take everything (including herself) so seriously.

I know I posted this in other threads, but when Eve went on "The Rosie O' Donnell Show" and was so rude to Rosie about anything Brady, it was like.....sheesh, what a whiny b****!

I was thinking the next VH1 Reality show.

Too bad Mrs. Brady couldn't get them to talk things out. Grudges are a waste of time and life. My Mom and Aunt never made up, not because my Mom didn't want to but because of my Aunt. My mom had alzheimer's and kept asking for her sister, she got a birthday card from her brother and thought her sister sent it to her. We didn't have the heart to tell her the truth. That card made her so happy.

I know that EP is (rightly so) still very angry about not getting ANY residuals from the show, etc. (no one else does either).

EP needs to get over herself. If you accept a spot on a talk show, expect to be asked about TBB. If you don't want to talk about it, don't do public appearances!

Duh.

If it wasn't for TBB, would anyone be talking about Eve, period?

Besides, she is the one Brady who has a distinguished post Brady career without benefit of a reality show

True...I watched a recent interview w/ Maureen and she said she's tried to patch things up w/ Eve and Eve never returns her phone calls. EP needs to let it go.
