I was in my car on my way to work listening to regular radio (not talk radio) when the mood of the DJ's turned from joking to serious. I did not know at first how serious they were since they were midway through their morning jokes and without warning they started sounding serious talking about the twin tower being hit etc....When I got to work I headed straight for jury room to see the TV and within moments of watching I saw the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower. We and the jurors were excused from court appearances that day and I spent the rest of the day in awe watching it on every channel.

I was sick and trying to get some sleep, but I couldn't, I turned the TV on to GTV-9 and watched the first 20 minutes of JAG, a banner appeared at the bottom of the screan saying 'PLANE COLLIDES WITH WORLD TRADE CENTRE', I took little notice of it, but was edgy, I got bored with JAG and put it on to Network 10 to watch a schedualed broadcast of 'Everybody Loves Raymond', but the news was on, and this is what I saw (CLICK HERE). Even as an expert newsreader, you could tell Sandra Sulley wasn't coping well that night - it is one day I will never forget...

I was at work when I got the news. However, the last show I watched that day before finding out what had happened was TV Land's rerun of the "Chico and the Man" episode where Ed is in Mexico tracking down Raul (aka the 2nd Chico). It was the episode where Ed tells Raul that Chico died. So I was already a little down that morning. Of course it was nothing compared to what was to come.

I was a sophomore in high school and was in gym class, we knew something was up but nothing specific was said to us. Since it was my first period class, we just went to the locker room to change and left to go running on the track so we didn't really bump into anyone else at school. Afterwards, I had Physics and it was there that I found out what happened. I walked in and they had the tv on the news and let us go home after 2nd hour was over. The only tv related thing I remember is that on that Monday, my local FOX station brought back the Simpsons to air at 5-6PM every day, but of course that Tuesday it didn't air and then after a few days when the news stopped pre-empting shows, they went back to their original schedule they had all summer long with no Simpsons scheduled anymore.

I was at school [during my senior year] so I wasn't watching tv. I was just getting into second period (consumer math) and kids coming in were telling about what they heard. Then our teacher went on the internet to read all about it. I don't remember him turning on the tv (don't think there was even a tv in that classroom).
