That's a good one, and yes Solomon, losing the remote in bed is a biotch. My husband gets real grouchy when I ask him to wake up so I can conduct a full-scale search. I mean, this is important to me. Switching between Nick and TVLand, come on, we all know how urgent that can be. ![]() I try to leave the remote on the nightstand, but I usually fall asleep with it in my hand, and it sometimes falls to the floor, causing cats to fly throught the air, the hubby to have a near coronary. It's real fun when the batteries fall out, and the remote cracks and has to be taped. What a pretty picture I just painted.

I don't know whose story is more pathetic, mine or yours. You keep wrapping that sucker up, you'll cover all the buttons, lol. Way off topic, but I just thought of a couple of funny stories. My husband used to wear glasses, before contacts, then had his vision corrected with that laser thing, or whatever it's called. He told me that years ago, he was painting his porch, and he couldn't find his glasses. Turns out they were inside the paint can Another time, he told me he backed out of the driveway and ran over his eyeglasses, lol. He always had a pair of glasses at home taped up. I'm glad those days are over, lol. |

I know the feeling. My keyboard is getting like that. I love the way it works. It's not noisy, and has features that I like. I recently bought a new computer, tried that keyboard, hated it, and I'm back to old faithful. Only thing is, some of the letters are fading. It's white lettering on black, and there's no S, V, half a C, half an A, etc. I'm a good typist, but still, I want my letters.

I hate it when I lose the remote.
I'm notorious (because I have ADHD, I always have to be doing something with my hands) for flipping the remote and it dropping on the floor. All the numbers are worn off on it (thank goodness the numbers are in order because otherwise I'd be screwed.) I have hardwood floors and they're all scuffed up from where the remote landed and skidded and flipped.I also hate when I fall asleep (and I toss and turn in my sleep) the remote drops and wakes up the whole house, like somebody else mentioned. That's why I started putting it in one of my house shoes. I begged my mom to duct tape it to my hands, but she wouldn't do it. lol.
