If they actually did some research, they'd come up with better more lurid stories than that i'm sure. Lucy had it all, dating mobsters and associating with everyone from mob connected fiends to many US Presidents, thank God she never knew the current one or that would really hurt her average, LOL! Every star of that era had scandals, raising their children with all different fathers, adopting children that were really THEIRS to begin with, getting other people to raise them, abusing them, Hollywood is an endless supply of sensationalism, look at the drunken $luts of today and multiply it by ten.

I think the big difference between now and then is this stuff is now more out in the open. Back in the day, the studios protected their stars from scandal.

True, in Lucy's case though it was her very loyal staff, and with her kind of money comes power, the power to cover up anything, people loved her so that they kept their mouths shut, which i admire.
