How old were you when you first began watching I Love Lucy? - Page 2 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I don't remember watching it as a kid. I have some vague memories of watching The Lucy Show (like the stilts episode). I think I probably watched ILL fist as a teenager. I know when I started watching it as an adult there were a few episodes I had never seen, like The Handcuffs and the one where Lucy's mother-in-law visits.

Yes, I remember once I missed part of a Life With Lucy because I had to have my diaper changed.

Geez, what a coinkeedink, i'm soon to have to get mine changed as i'm at the other end of that age thing, LOL!

i guess i was maybe four or five....all i know is that i wasnt in school yet, and my mom would make us lunch every day at noon and we would eat our lunch and watch the show. Not that i really understood exactly what was going on then, but how i enjoy it now. geez, what good memories...

I remember also that The Lucy Desi Comedy Hour was always on in the summer months when we were off school and i just loved those.

I started watching I Love Lucy back in the 80's.I came walking into the living room once while my mom was watching I Love Lucy.I sat down and watched it with her and I been watching it ever since.

Oh my, you've been in that living room since the 80's? You just have to get out and do something, wait till they play the DRAFTED episode and go outside while it's playing, you won't miss much. LOL!

That's funny because i was going to write that and then remembered how much better it looks in color and i watch it every single time i make a copy of that bonus disc for someone and it's growing on me, LOL! Drafted however could be in 3D and it wouldn't be any better, LOL!

I really couldn't get into Scotland because it is more a musical episode than anything. Same thing with Little Ricky's play. I want to see Lucy get into trouble, scheming, etc.

Oh i agree totally, i almost never watch the shows with Little Ricky, the whole series was about HER comedic skills. But since i read that they did the Scotland ep to compete with things like Peter Pan which had been shown around that time, i now see why they did that horrible musical ep, but it looks and seems better all colored up, LOL!

I recall watching some 'LUCY' when I was little and there was this channel that showed HL..I recall the memory of how red her hair was in color! LOL
Other than that, ILL had been with me through the hardest years of my life; while I was going through my divorce it helped a lot! That show was the only thing that kept me sane.
Now DH sits with me and we enjoy the show together.
