If you replace someone for a day and you have to sit at their desk, make sure you can physically sit in that seat (Leavitt when he sat at Yemana's desk in "Quo Vardis" from season 4).

Make sure you don't slam the door hard or the glass will break.

That although you can be in charge of a diverse group of individuals, you can (like Barney) be a good, wise boss and have a good balance of toughness, compassion and reasonableness. A rare thing these days. Many bosses today I find are either wimps, or the other extreme, tyrants, neither of whom know their own jobs or qualified to tell others how to do theirs.

I am fortunate though that I have a boss who is good; I've heard horror stories from friends about their work situations. I thought Barney was a good role model.
