Thank you for that info. I knew they had two bathrooms. It WAS NEVER referenced they had ONE or shared a bathroom.

When Darlene said that D.J. got through the door, she meant he must have "picked the lock" or something like that.

As for D.J. masturbating episode, she said UPSTAIRS bathroom, not OUR bathroom. If they shared a bathroom, it would be a bathroom they shared. Darlene was probably referencing a GUEST bathroom. There had to be one for guests since the parents had their own bathroom in the master bedroom and the kids had their own, so where would guests go?

That layout can't be correct. If you see the episode to which I am referring in this thread, you will see D.J. has a window just like his sister's bedroom. His bedroom is laid out just like the girls' room EXCEPT the bathroom is to THE LEFT. The bedroom door is to the RIGHT. The opposite of the way the girls' room is laid out.

Also, if you see the episode where D.J. takes a peek at Molly undressing, he is able to see Molly's house from his window. The girls' window in their room also faces Molly's house. So those two windows have to be facing the same direction.

Now, I know we are talking abt a sitcom here and there are going to be goofs, errors, etc. I always found the layout of the Conner house to be pretty accurate.

I have a question, is D.J.'s room the room the family ends up changing into the new baby's room?

where did it say on the show that there were 2 upstairs bathrooms? In "Crime & Punishment" Darlene is complaining about DJ and says "I locked my door but he must have gotten in through the bathroom" which would mean that they probally did share a bathroom. Also in that episode when Jackie is changing, Darlene opens the door and its the same exact bathroom Darlene is seen dying her hair in on "Pretty in Black". In that episode when Molly is sitting on the toilet talking to Darlene about lipstick, you can see DJ's door in the background. In "Homeward Bound" yes Dan does refer to it as "her bathroom" later on Darlene states "he goes in that room because its the only one with a lock on it". This still may not convince some of you, but i can take screen shots if you like.

Where do they state that the girls window faces Molly's house too?

And yes Irene DJ's room is the room they turn into the nursery, also im sorta curious to see your version of the upstairs layout if you don't mind.

I will admit my layout is wrong because the bathroom door for DJ's room is in the wrong place. They do share a bathroom though. I did design Roseanne's house for the sims 2 before, and thats how i laid it out. Maybe someone should contact Garvin Eddy and ask him.

I wish I knew how to make a layout. How did you do that? I so bad want to make a layout and don't know how.

I errored on the Molly house/girls bedroom window point. I got confused with D.J.'s window. This is annoying because their rooms look so similar except for the fact their door is on the opposite side.

The reason I asked abt DJ's room being turned into the nursery is because that episode is where the original Becky returns and she is seen coming from the hallway to your right. She then leaves the same direction to go downstairs. So that tells me D.J.'s room is to the left of the hallway. As for the girls' room, when you see them leaving the room, they walk to the LEFT to go downstairs. It has to be because the few times they showed us the view right outside the girls bedroom door, you see the hallway END RIGHT THERE. It doesn't proceed any further. My feeling has always been that the girls room is on the right (if you face the end of the hallway) and D.J.'s room is on the left.

Also, in that one episodee, Dan and Roseanne were yelling at D.J. and Todd (I believe) when they were jumping on D.J.'s bed, and it was right above Dan and Roseanne's bedroom. Dan and Roseanne have a window in their room where they had that old couple naked and they could see them. That is supposed to be the house where Molly lived. D.J. was able to see Molly from his bedroom window as well. So I surmise that D.J.'s window was right above Dan and Roseanne's bedroom window.

This whole layout thingy has me soooo confused.

i made my layout in paint. Its very easy to do Irene.

The idea behind my layout is that the camera shoots the scenes in the room where the wall btw the two rooms is. make sense? so it appears the girls door is on the left, and DJ's is on the right. The layout has me confused also though. thats just what makes most sense to me. and DJ's room still would be above Dan & Roseannes. Just assume the Becky and Darlenes Room is above the living room. Attached is a layout. that i explained some stuff on. I'm still confused by it myself. But if i mentioned it already or not, this is how i designed the house when i played it on Sims 2.

Ahhhhh, I think I got what you are saying now. I am now imagining the filming (or our view) between that wall. I see how that is now. Good layout and excellent way of making this clearer now. Hmmmm...very interesting.

it is a very confusing layout tho. I'm glad i helped you picture what i was saying better. If i get the chance next time i play sims, i'll take a screen shot of the 2nd floor of my version of Roseannes house on there.

I dont think that layout is correct because as you walk into beckys and darlenes room darlenes bed is next to the door and beckys is across from darlenes facing hers,so that means in your layout picture that the bathroom is where their window is or their wardrobe. The bathroom on the layout is where the both windows are!

I see what you are saying, however, you just have to imagine the bathroom laid out much longer, with the door to the bathroom in the girls room more to the left than it is showing above. Same thing with DJ's bathroom door, just have it more to the right.

I can't ever recall it ever being said though that the bathroom was shared. I guess we have to hear it in what is being said by the characters. I will try and listen carefully to what is being said in the particular episodes that were mentioned here on this thread.

I am open to more debating though whether they shared a bathroom or not. I like the layout though, because it gives me something to look at rather than visualize and try to put in words.

i can further edit the layout to make it show where the furniture is. I'm almost 99% posotive that they do share a bathroom. Just from clues mentioned throught the episodes I named. I'm glad u like my layout Irene.

No, Thank You. I got to check out PAINT and practice that layout thingy.

This layout of the Conner house will always be bugging me.

Pretty sure they are shared. Watch the 1st part of the Jackie/Fisher abuse episodes. Jackie goes upstairs to borrow something from Darlene, and then Darlene goes into DJ's room and into the bathroom, where Jackie is.

If they didn't share a bathroom, why would she go all the way to DJ's bathroom to try it on?

I think the upstairs bathroom is a walkthrough one. Sometimes during a scene in Becky and Darlene's room you can see another wooden sliding door through the bathroom in the girls room and same door in DJ's room. but yet there are two ways of getting to DJ's room, through the bathroom and at the other side of his room.
