I'm confused??? By making a comment, you are opening up to every user reading this thread. Wouldn't you have to consider yourself using a sarcastic tone with everyone (that's what you insinuated, unless you were talking to yourself???), to make your point clear? That would include Heist, too, since he's participating on the forum. If the sarcasm is directed to specific people, how do we know who we are??? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to make sense of all your comments. And, is "sarcastic" even the right word to use, here? I've read and reread your posts, and I can't seem to make the application-- please explain? Thanks!

The show was about characters who had flaws. This was just another example of why Roseanne was such a great show, it showed people with real issues, problems and people who made mistakes.

Affairs happen at all different times and usually when one partner gets "bored" with the other. This often times happens later in the relationship, since they have been together for so long. Dan was just sick and tired of Roseanne.

I loved that they added that depth to Dan and made the show that much more realistic and groundbreaking.
