Some people can be so cold. Just ignore them Solomon. I took John Belushi's death hard...and Carroll O'Connor's as well, so I understand the feeling.

The only times I cried when someone famous died was the following:

JOHN LENNON, the first time I cried for someone's death (murder) that was famous. I am a huge Lennon fan, his murder just pierced my heart.

LUCILLE BALL, she is my all time fave television personality. I LOVE HER TO DEATH. I was really crushed.

PRINCESS DIANA, a lovely woman who did more than all those royals put together and was the definition of a lady who handled herself with class even when the worst was happening to her. A true loss to the world.

So Solomon, the way those co-workers behaved towards you for your feelings don't give a rat's ass abt feelings, PERIOD!
I know how that feels, it doesn't matter if I knew them or not, I was still sad over the deaths of..

JUDITH BARSI-Her death still haunts me to this day, to me it's personal not only she was the same age as me but we are almost alike in many ways. Her tragic murder at ten left me speechless and heartbroken.

AALIYAH-Deaths of people who died very young always upsets me, Aaliyah was not only beautiful but talented, the only that can compare to her today is her clone Ciara.

KATHARINE HEPBURN-One of my favorite actresses, I know she was up there but it was very sad.

OSSIE DAVIS-He was just pure genius, what was sad was that his character on The L Word also passed away the same time he did.

Some jerk actually made fun of me years later after Judith's murder saying "She's been dead longer than she's been alive, so who cares?" Rude, just plain rude. I don't understand the logic of not being upset over an celebrity death.

Like Irene said, those of us here do understand how much he meant to you because he meant something to us too. He was part of my childhood and I'll never forget him.
His death tore me up too. So tragic and so young.

We don't have to know someone personally or have them be friends, but just knowing abt them and how much they entertained us, brought us laughter, made us smile, seeing them in reruns and remembering those good ol' days is what it is all abt.

Mike Evans was surely a loss. It is even more saddened by the fact that we found out WAAAAY after he died. I wish there was more information on his life. It seems like he was just somewhere and then suddenly he was gone. I wonder how long he had been ill? Solomon, is there any more info?

Reading this thread just now (after the shock of the title) is the first I've heard about this. Too bad.

Yeah, that I know, but I want to know what he did PRIOR to that. Say, like abt 5 to 10 years before. There is nothing.

He spent twenty years buying and selling real estate. Short of an aquaintance or relative writing his biography and including some anecdotes from that period of his life, there really isn't anything else to know.

To this very day, her death scares me. I took that to heart considering we were alike in so many ways. Her and her mother died the same way my mother was killed except my sister and I weren't in the house at the time. Judy and Maria died two days before my own mother. My sister and I could have end up like Judith, dead. A friend of mine knew her(they went to the same school) and I had the chance to meet her once, she was a sweet unaffected child star.

Sadly, many people do not know who she was and when they come across her websites and found out that she died, a lot of people feel gulity. One friend of mine started to cry.

I was a kid of the 80's and watched a lot of tv being that I was a latchkey child. So I've seen her over and over and over on Punky Brewster and from watching the reruns and such. Also if you were a little girl in the 80's you've seen her on hundred of baby doll commercials.

Growing up in the 1980's, I've seen her in a whole lot of commericals. Campbell's soup, Ramen noodles etc. She was so cute!

Yes she sure was on Punky Brewster as my little sister pointed out when we saw her as we rode with my friend's mother to pick my friend up from school(my sis and I were on vacation) as soon as my sister spotted Judith she yelled out the window "Hey! It's the Punky Brewster girl!" I've talked to her and realize we had a lot in common but who knew that her home life was an complete wreck?

I felt the exact same way when John Ritter died and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I cried like I lost a family member. I guess some people just don't understand why others get so attached to celebrities, but just because we don't know them personally doesn't mean we haven't formed an emotional bond. I don't think that makes us crazy, just human.
