Mine's not bad. Usually only lasts 3 or 4 days and the 2nd day is the only heavy one. If I get cramps at all it's the first night and it takes awhile to fall asleep. I do get pretty pissy/emotional the week before my period starts, but once again that's it.

The birth control pills didn't do anything but make me gain weight and prevented me from getting pregnant. I think it was just a waste of time, after a year on BC pills I was put on naproxen and then I was taken off that because my mom didn't want it to become and addiction. After that I took Tylenol and that stopped working and now I take Aleve. My husband thinks that I'll overdose on Aleve because I'll take 3 every two hrs or so. Men just don't know the pain a woman goes through. |

My periods are irregular, either too early or late. I do recommend progesterone cream. You can get at the health food store. Look at the label though, if it parabens in it don't buy. Look for all natural progesterone cream. Follow the directions, it relieves alot of the symptoms.

My period is the worst thing ever. I got it when I was... 13 and itd be off and up until I was about 17/18 where it finally got somewhat normal. The first few years Id get it once a year, every 6 months, etc.. totally unpredictable. Past couple years has probably been the most regular, and I find that when Im eating healthy and sticking to my diet, its the best. I went to the gyno for it last year and was put on the pill, but I didnt like it so I stopped. It worked too! lol. My period is ridiculously heavy - wearing 3 overnight pads and that doesnt always work. Its very frustrating, especially when Id have it for 14 days and then get it every 2.5 weeks. Thats how it was all last year before the pill and it really took a toll on me. Im also THE BIGGEST BITCH during it and get very emotional, Im like a rollercoaster. Cramps come and go.. some periods theyre mellow [like right now], but last time I had it [which was from this July-September] they were aweeeeeeeeeeeful in the beginning. I was at work laying on a table wanting to throw up. One way I can always tell Im gonna get my period is I get diahrea the first or 2nd day, no idea why, but it happens. My period isnt too bad right now, but Ive gotten back on track eating wise this past week or so and I really think thats affecting it. I hope so, Ive been trying really hard. As for other symptoms, Ill wake up in the morning with cold-like symptoms and as the morning goes on, they dissapear.

However, I don't want men to think that whenever a woman is moody or bitchy, that she is ON HER PERIOD. That is the stupidest thing that can come out of a man's mouth. "Oh she is bitchy, it's that time of the month." NO SUCKER. Maybe there are other things going on in our lives, like work, business, career, financial problems, stupid men, etc. Hey, I have seen plenty of "bitchy" men, and I highly doubt it's because they are having their period. |

I hate getting my period!
I get all irritable and break out in zits during the week before, then I'm cramped, bloated, bleeding, and pissy for another week.

I just get moody and extremely emotional. That's when I'll start thinking of my dad who died 5 years ago and cry like it just happened.
I also get cramps and lower back pain. Yeah, guys, it's LOADS of fun!

The thing with most women is the pain is more than cramps, as it has been posted, it can lead to lower back pain. For me, that is especially true. The uterus gets so bloated and filled that it presses on my lower spine, where I had my spine fused/operated on. So that area of my back is prone to recurring pain, flare-ups (as I stated a few weeks ago when I was in bed for almost two weeks). ADD A BLOATED UTERUS, and we are talking major lower back pain. And as anyone can tell you, back pain makes one feel like sh*t ALL OVER, physically and mentally. So of course, we are not going to be in the best of moods. Hey guys, if you read this, try doing your job with a major headache, a stabbing pain in your lower back and a major stomach ache where you are doubling over from the pain. JUST TRY TO IMAGINE THAT FOR AT LEAST THREE DAYS. Some of us have to deal with it for more than that. I get my symptoms a week before and then I have to deal with my actual period for another 7 FUN FILLED DAYS! |

I didn't start my period until I was 16. The doctor checked me out and said that I needed to be put on birth control to stay regular. Even on the BC pills I still have bad cramps and I bleed pretty heavy. My mother, sister and I are all a week apart, so my dad wants to run and hide during those 3 weeks of the month. LOL!
