For those of you that don't know, the military has activated at least one of their hospital ships to try to help with all of the injured.
Also, a couple of carriers have been sent to New York, and a bunch of marines have been sent to D.C. Most of the profs at the college didn't even hold class today. Because of this, I have been following this literally from the beginning. I actually saw the second plane hitting the second tower live. I was just shocked. I have sent several emails out to friends that live up there that I still have yet to hear back from. I pray they are fine. I was upset and all, but it didn't affect me until the plane crashed into the Pentagon and stories started coming out that different places in D.C. were exploding as well. Thankfully, those extra explosions turned out to be false. I was able to find my brother and found out that he was at home. I then started calling the family to tell them as such. I am just still in a state of shock. I'm sure I am just rambling on so I will stop now. Wow. This is unbelievable. I watched the second plane hit live. I work in the Sears Tower in Chicago, and it was just widespread panic there - we all thought that we were next.
Everyone, if you are 16 or older, call your local Red Cross. There are a lot of injured people right now in NY that will need blood. It just takes 20 minutes to donate and it can save a life. |

and also its weird how they are saying how much worse this is then pearl harbor...
Oh, I know! It is weird cuz we all know how bad Pearl Harbor was and then this tragedy takes it's place. I saw those Pallastinians (sp?) cheering in Biology and Spanish class and it REALLY upset me. How could they possibly be so happy about something so awful? Sick. ------------------ ~* glitterbabie *~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Carter: So... what do you, er, think about tonight? Stop it. Abby: What? Carter: Don’t talk to me about Luka. I’m not your girlfriend and I shouldn’t really even be here with you. Abby: Why not? Carter: (Pausing) Because I don’t want to wish bad things for you and Luka. And I don’t want to sit on the sidelines waiting for you two to break-up. (Pauses) And I don’t want to be your friend. Oh my God... I heard about it during third period. Our teacher told us (it was English) to be calm about it and we could all go and see it live on TV if we wanted to. We went; and I just feel soo bad for our country now. I've seen so many people crying today alone from my school since they've got relatives over by NYC. I'm just speechless.

THIS HIT SO CLOSE TO HOME!
I am sure every single person in my school will be affected by this. We live SOOO close to NYC, and about 1/3 of the students in my school have parents that work in New York! One of my best friend's mother works at the WTC. They haven't heard from her yet. Another good friend's dad works across the street from there. No news. 2 friend's fathers were flying in the air during the time that the flights were being hijackked (on from BOSTON to EWR, the other from EWR to Cleaveland) A girl in my history's class's mother is a flight attendant for United. Another girl's aunt works for AA and operates out of Boston. It was such a horrible day. We watched the news in history class. I first heard the news while in Geometry. Our principal came in and told us. One girl in my geometry class is home alone now, because both of her parents are stranded in Buffalo and Vancouver. I just don't know what to say. It was just such a terrible day at school. There were people constantly being called down to the office. About a third of the school went home. Me? I stayed the whole day, but I have to see how some friends in NYC are doing. And you know what is ironic? Last night, while looking at my dad's yearbook, he told me about one of his teachers, and why he remembered her. It was because, he was sitting in her class and it was in that class that they received the news of JFK's assasination. I told him, wow I wonder if anything like that will happen to me? |

I couldnt believe it. I too, heard about it in 3rd period which was English. Unfortunately I didn't get to see any of it on TV cuz none of our teachers would let us. But everyone in our school was really terrified and felt very bad for all the families and their loses. The whole school was going Crazy! I'm watching the news coverage on MSNBC right now.
Ya know how they were saying that they were alerting the nuclear plants? Well, if I'm not mistaken, there is one in Oakridge,TN. Which is about 100miles from me. My aunt lives in Nash.,TN. This whole thing is terrifying and awful. I'm wondering if we will have school tomorrow. Not for the obvious reason of getting out of school, which is great dont get me wrong, but becuz of all of this. Lots of the schools in my area were getting out early, but our school WOULDN'T LET US OUT! Oh yeah, and one of my teachers has a friend that works in the Pentagon or near it. And hasn't heard from him. I hope he is ok. Im praying for everyone right now and always. Let you all know if i hear anything else major. ------------------ ²Tiffany² LYLAS or LYLAB Peace Out! Teddy: Hey, I'm making you an offer you can't refuse. Jinny: Look, you know who I am, OK? You know who my family is. Why do you even wanna be with me at all? Teddy: Because, I love you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jinny: Basically, people are who people are. Your born, you die pretty much the same person. All the rest is just window dressing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

This isn't meant to be a joke or even humorous just a sign of how bad this is.
My Spanish I teacher, Ms. Angevine, would probably make us work during, well, anything pretty much, but even she didn't make us wok today. THAT's how bad this is. We watched coverage in every class. Y'all, in other news, they say a smaller WTC tower is on the verge of collapsing. People, like it's been mentioned. If you're old enough, go and donate some blood (I still like a year or 2 being old enough but I'm saying this anyway). They especially need O and RH+, if you have that, PLEASE donate. I also ask, whatever your religion, whatever you personally believe, that you please pray for these people. The Currenly Horrified by the carnage -Seth Thrasher |

I heard about it on the radio. At first I thought it was a joke. Or a story. What kind of a person would do something like this to their fellow man!!!??? It just does not make sence. So many....
This has been a weird day. I can't even say what I am thinking. I just can't express myself. Just pray. Just pray. ------------------ Help others before you help yourself. |

Yes, war would be disastrous! But my mom said that without the World Trade Center we will go into another Depression. Now I don't know which would be worse!
I don't feel too good... |

I heard the terrorists want us to be afraid. I say we stand strong! Be brave! Don't show them they won! They can NOT win if we stick together!
My fellow Americans, my friends. We will not forget this. God help us. |
