Hopefully it wasn't a large payment

It was $70. I've just send him an email. I'll let you know if he responds.

For what it's worth, this chipsandsoda guy is a joke. He offered to sell me two episodes of a TV show and then never gave me payment instructions despite numerous PMs.

Do you guys think there's a way to get the money back from this guy if he doesn't deliver? $70 is a lot of money for nothing... but I think I was that desperate of finding those Happy Days episodes... When I read all these posts, I think it's still no Happy Days AND $70 less in the wallet...

I think it was hard to see him as a scammer because when he first posted what he had, he was very open about what he had in the trading community. So it looks like the agenda was to see how much money he could get before getting banned because that appears to be what he wanted anyway.

ZERO. no matter how much you report and all that, the money is long spent

this is why its so important to make posts about scammers and thieves

people are just afraid to get involved

theres a section , with a lot of info on the top of the feedback section, that lists all sorts of info, this persons name is in that list

refer to it

add to it if need be

one further question, did you think that $70 was far too reasonsable for a huge set like happy days, and shipping to europe from the states??

ask questions

post a question on the site for a reference, no honest trader would ever object to seeing a question for a reference asked

but yet so few ever do it

this site is a tool, feel free to use it and its members to help you out, if it helps you, it also helps others at the same time with info

if we dont , then this is no better than the yahoo scammer boards, where i can see several scammers everytime i read them

Hopefully the guy will develop a conscience, but I would not count on it. It's not the first time he's done it. The loser probably used the money for drugs or booze. If you had sent a check, you could contact your bank to put a stop on it. If he already cashed it, his endorsement, bank and account number will all be there on the check. I would contact the guy and let him know that you have reported him to the authorities and if you don't receive your money back within a week, you will pursue it even further. If we had an address, we could get someone to pay him a visit.

Well I don't even know if it's real or not, but here's the address he sent me:

Andrew Turppa
101 Hyde Street
San Francisco CA

No zip code provided (gee wonder why )

Either way, I hope this helps track him down.
